Am I A Normal Drinker If I Drink This Much

Is it normal to get chest pain when drinking alcohol?

I'm going to guess this is heartburn. I get bad heartburn sometimes. Alcohol can definitely aggrivate it. Especially if I've had soda and/or coffee on the same day, or if I didn't eat much that day.

Maybe you could try switching drinks and see if that helps? Like switch to beer instead of the sugary alcoholic drinks.

Is underage drinking a normal thing for teens? (your opinion)?

I have just turned 17 and have had a few occasions where I drink way too much like most teenagers. Since this is all new to me I really enjoy getting drunk, is that the right thing, its not due to peer pressure its just I like getting drunk with my mates, thats what most people do ? or is that an exaggeration? I just what peoples views on this. I think because I am young and dosnt matter if i drink to much and the best way to learn is from your mistakes. Obviously i know drinking isnt safe and all the health problems that come with it, but this is only like once a month. Each time though i consume more and more alcohol and start going for higher percentages. I spend most of my wages on alcohol. Does anyone have similar experiences and regrets. should i be worrying about how much money i am spending or my health? or just enjoy being young and new experiences. Please honest views on this x

Is it normal to forget things when drinking?

Sometimes when I go out drinking, the next day I will remember almost everything that happened. I remember where I went most of what happened, etc. But sometimes I forget seeing certain people, sometimes a conversation, and sometimes bumming cigarettes, parts of the taxi home or something like that. I was just wondering if this was normal when people drink? or does it indicate a problem?

How long is a normal timespan to vomit after drinking alcohol? Is there a point that it should be viewed as more than a “hangover” (i.e. If someone has been vomiting for 12+ hours)?

There is no “normal time span” to vomit after drinking alcohol, Sam. If you vomit after you drink alcohol, you are either drinking too much or are intolerant of alcohol and should not be drinking at all. If you go for 12+ hours of vomiting, you could be doing some real damage to your body. You are probably really dehydrated. And the stomach acid is strong. 12 hours worth of it coating your esophagus time after time can cause ulceration. The increased intra-abdominal pressure that vomiting causes can bring on esophageal varices: varicose-like veins in the throat that can burst and cause sudden, extreme and possibly fatal bleeding. The stomach acid in your mouth can cause gum disease and tooth loss.So maybe you should think about why you feel the need to drink so much that it leads to such severe vomiting and/or hangovers. You may need help to cut back or stop altogether. Good luck to you.

Is drinking a pint of Vodka too much to drink in one night?

yes. If you can drink a pint of vodka in one sitting, you have built up some tolerance. That is enough to kill a person who does not have tolerance. It is entirely possible that you may be an alcoholic. Get help, and soon. Try AA.

Also, some people (like myself) can be misdiagnosed as bipolar, OCD, schizophrenic, borderline personality, psychotic, sociopathic, etc because the symptoms of acute alcoholism are VERY similar. Shrinks sometimes can't tell the difference, especially if they, themselves are undiagnosed alcoholics.

That doesn't mean everyone who drinks doesn't have a mental disorder. It means you need to find out if your disorders are caused by your chemical abuse, or your disorders are real and only contribute to your chemical abuse.

Am i a lightweight drinker?

Pretty average, im 21 have been drinking occasionally since I was 18. you had about 6 shots which is about how much it takes for me to get wasted. It also depends on your weight.
Im 5'5" and 115 lbs, which means I get drunk faster then girls who weigh more then me or guys.
Also, if you took all of the shots within say, 2 hours, you would be alot more wasted then if you took it over 4 or 6 hours.

Am I an alcoholic if I only drink two beers a day?

Why not try skipping a couple of days and see how you feel?If you can and it's no big deal then I wouldn't worry. If you can't or you find you crave it during that time then it could be the start of a problem which will be a lot easier dealt with the sooner you start.
