Am I Able To Join The Marines

Can I join the marines with ADHD?

I am 18 and i have been off medication since i was about 12 or 13. I have no signs showing of ADHD ( in other words you wouldnt think that i had it if you saw me) Would i be able to join?

Do you think I'll be able to join the Marines?

I used to have asthma but I haven't had a asthma attack since I was about 10 years old. I'm 18 now. I don't have any scars just a circle mark on my arm from a couple months back from when my cousin got a bottle cap and rotated it on my arm. I can make all the physical movements that youtube people make from their meps experience. I have -2.00 hyperopia but my vision is 20/20 with glasses. The only skin condition I've had is keratosis pilaris. I am active, I can do 65 sit ups in 2 min, 30 sec Flexed Arm Hang and I'm pretty sure I can run a mile and a half

Are you able to join the Marines as a medic?

To serve as a “medic” in the Corps, you need to join the navy and become a Corpsman ( the Navy version of medic). The Corps does not have this MOS. Corpsman are often attached to Marine units and revered by grunts. You’d invariably be referred to as “Doc” and would be the most protected person in a large barroom brawl. Marines love their Corpsman because Corpsman they know will someday very well save their ass. You’d also be considered one of their own. Pictures of Corpsman I’ve seen with Marine units in the bush are indistinguishable from their Marine brethren. It is not an enviable job however in a firefight. S/F

If I join the Marines for a few year's will I be able to get a job with the FBI?

That depends on you. The FBI occasionally comes to town to recruit prospective military people for their own needs. They have several different “tracks” that they put a new recruit on in order to make them into an agent. For example, there is a “white collar crime” track - which the FBI sometimes has difficulty filling with skilled, educated candidates. You would need to have some background in forensic accounting - perhaps as a military auditor or logistician. There are other “tracks” with different education and experience emphasis. You will NOT be recruited simply because of your military service record or specialty. The FBI will be looking for candidates that bring a “whole package” of skills, education, and experience.I think you should ask yourself what is the goal of becoming a Marine? If your true desire is not to be a Marine per se - but to leverage some training and experience into a position with the FBI - well, there might be better paths than the Marine Corps that will get you where you want to go. I’m not saying there are - but there might be and you should be talking to someone at the Bureau who can set you straight.

How can I get in shape to join the Marines Corps?

I'm not a Marine, but I am in the Armed Forces, and for that I think I can shed some truth to this very common question. For anyone choosing to enlist or commission into the military must first accept this as their bible, because straying from it will not help you succeed. The military doesn't conform to you. You conform to the military.Everyone soon to be shipped off to boot camp is always worried about their physical standards. They're worried that they're too fat, too skinny, too weak, or not strong enough. The military isn't all too concerned about your physique as a civilian. You are too fat, too skinny, too weak, and you aren't strong enough. Those are the negative thoughts constructed by hesitancy and fear of the unknown. Nearly everyone thought this way before they joined. But the military has basic training for a reason. Boot camp is established for a reason. To conform you to the standards of which your country must trust you to defend it.Enlistees and cadets come to the military weak, skinny, and fat, but they soon become strong, resilient, and brave. To help you get an idea of the United States Marine Corp's PFT requirements, here's some charts:And once you've established mentally and physically that you will make it in the Marine Corps, then your next question should be (and the answer should already be there),How can I stay in shape to REMAIN in the United States Marine Corps?

Am i able to join marines if i have hypoglycemia?

This is the bad news:

f. Current or history of hyperinsulinism (251.1) is disqualifying.

that covers both high and low blood sugar.

Can you join the Marines with a misdemeanor?

This is a question best left to a recruiter. The military standards frequently change, but just about anything can be waived if they need people badly enough. The military will usually excuse minor offenses involving simple possession of drugs, possession of alcohol by a minor, most traffic violations, and other petty crimes associated with “youthful indiscretion.”The recruiter will be the one sending the request for a waiver up the chain of command. Since he gets a feather in his cap for each recruit, he’ll probably put a positive spin on things.

Can I join the Marines with a heart murmur?

I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think so. A friend of mine wanted to be a Marine his whole life, did ROTC in high school, got in tip top shape, went to MEPS and told the doctor about it, they said he was fine; his first day at Parris Island they found out about it and he got in tons of trouble, stayed at reception for about 3 months, watched the class he was supposed to be with graduate and everything before they finally sent him back, if I'm not mistaken he got a dishonorable discharge. However, I think the MEPS doctor may have lied about it on his paperwork, so make sure that they put it on your paperwork and DO NOT LIE.
