Am I At A Ok-ish Weight

Is this an ok weight?

How big are the 6 stones your comparing yourself to? lol
Honestly, height has little to do with the "right weight", its all about fat and muscle % in your body. muscle weighs more than fat, thus you could be in shape and short being told your fat online. Anyway, truth is, weight isnt a big deal (as long as your not making yourself sick). So please dont turn back to being bulimic or anorexic. I like most guys like girls with meat on their bones. Thicker is better! (most of the time)

Am I at an ok weight?

I've just calculated your BMI (I know BMI is factorable when it comes to muscle and build but it's still good to determine whether or not you are at a healthy weight range) Your result came to 19.2 which means that you are a tad underweight but only by a little bit. Try putting a little on as long as your BMI is between 20 and 25 you're fine and you're nowhere near overweight.

OK, im 13 in 2 days, 5'6 ish and weigh 150...?

it doesn't sound like it but there is a lot of things that go into defining if a person is overweight or not.
for example
body frame small medium or lager

the best person to know if ur overweight or not would be your pediatrician if he feels you are overweight he would recommend lots of fruits and green vegetable as well as healthy activity for your weight loss (playing sports or even trying some type of routine activity like gymnastics karate etc.)

your still young so you may have some baby weight which should be going away with regular physical activity like P.E. during school etc. just stay positive and try not to stress out too much about it because some people in fact gain weight with stress.

Is gaining this much weight OK?

Im nearly 15, last year I was about 7st2lb, and now I am 7st8lb. Im 5ft3 I dont diet or watch my weight, and have an ok(ish) diet :)

Back to the question, is gaining 1lb per month an ok? Because im still growing and everything...
Is it a healthy rate for my age? Or should I be doing more to maintain my weight? - I know I dont need to lose weight though.
Im not looking for someone to do my BMI for me or anything else

What sparked this question was a tv programme about a girl who if she just ate something like one big mac over her reccomended calories every week she would be obese by the time shes 30. lol I dont want that to be me!

Ok, Im a little overweight...?

Are there any sports teams you can join at school?

When I wanted to lose some weight I went and bought a bike, it's great exercise and you can use it whenever you go out, to the shops, meet up with friends, etc.. doesn't even feel like exercise as it's quite fun.. doesn't make you feel embarrassed about trying to lose weight either.

Eat a bit healthier, if you eat junk food (like crisps, chocolate) limit yourself on how many you can have in a week (such as no more than 3.. either crisps/choc.. not 3 of each) or have 'snack' sized ones instead.

Simple exercise you can do is jogging.. put some music on your mp3 player, music takes away the distraction of your cramp and the beat keeps you going.

Sit ups are an easy exercise to do, you can do these in your room, don't need any equipment, start by doing 10 a day, then increase by 5 everytime you feel it's getting 'easier'.

Also when I was a teen my weight was all over the place, I ate healthy and wasn't lazy. Your body shape is changing because of your age, as is everybody elses at your school and they'll all be worrying too so try not to worry about it too much or compare yourself to others.

Is it OK if I'm 170cm tall and I weigh 75 kg (girl)?

I’m an adult male, 181 cm tall, and 75 kg. I also consider myself a tad too fat, but my doctor describes me as very healthy for my age. I have recently gotten great health test results, something most of the people my age are not getting. About 80% of Americans my age are overweight or obese, and many are having metabolic disorders because of it. That best describes almost all of my friends and family.According to BMI standards I’m at the right weight, but I have always made an effort by keeping a good diet and going to the gym 5 days a week. If that is not for you, don't worry about your body weight. Let it go where it will. You will not have the health issues from excess fat until much later in life. The only problem you might have now is that many people will think you too fat to date.

I am 22 years old and my weight is 85 kg. I am only 22 and look like 30 year old man, what are some ways to lose weight?

The principle of weight loss remains the same. You have to have a calorie deficit i.e. the amount of calories you consume should be less than the amount burnt by your body. The no. of calories your body burns is dependent on your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR). For eg. If you require 1800 calories to sustain everyday, you should be eating less than that. You can increase your BMR through exercise.1 Kilo of weight is generally equal to 1100 a calorie deficit.1 gm of fat is equal to 9 calories.1 gm of sugar is equal to 9 calores.1 gm of carbohydrates is equal to 4.5 calories.1gm of protein is equal to 4.5 calories.1 gm of alcohol is equal to 7 calories. There are 3 ways of losing weight that I know of:Diet: It is the most critical element of your weight loss. You cannot out-exercise a bad diet. There are different diets available based on your preferences. But the overall principle will be to reduce your calorie intake. High protein, no-carb diets are slightly different as there is a metabolic process that changes in your body. You burn fat instead of sugar (carbs) for energy.Exercise: You can do exercises like running, skipping, walking, jogging, cycling, swimming and other upper body exercises as well. These increase your BMR.Bariatric Surgery: In case you are not able to lose weight through diet or exercise, you may opt for Bariatric Surgery. Bariatric surgery is also differentiated into - Gastric Bypass, Sleeve Gastrectomy or Gastric Banding. The principle here is to reduce your stomach size so that you cannot eat as much as you used to thereby feeling full in small quantities hence creating a calorie deficit.

I am a male around 6' tall and I weigh 135 lbs. Is that ok?

I'm 6ft and my weight used to go from 120-140lbs when I was a rock climber. Switching to mountaineering/rambling/walking meant I needed more leg muscle and fat reserves so 160-180lbs is a good weight. At 120lbs I could do more pull ups on one little finger than most people can do with two hands and pull down over 4 times my own body weight. So it depends really, what do you need your body to do? If you are a competitive sumo wrestler, you may want to reconsider your career choice. If this is a sex/women question and not a health/fitness question, my missus is a lot happier when she can comfortably snuggle up to me and not have to rest her cheek on uncomfortable rock hard muscle and bone.As a climber the skin on my hands was very thick, very hard and very spiky, running my hands across her skin was like assault with a cheese grater, now that I have soft keyboard jockey hands, she purrs like a kitten. If this is a manly manliness question, Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan and Jet Li were not exactly heavyweights, but I pity the fool that would insult them.Stop obsessing about your body image, it's no good for you. Go and punch some inanimate objects, your muscle mass will match your anger/insecurity level in time.

If I'm 13, weigh 120 pounds and I'm 5'4, am I healthy?

Skinny is not the same as healthy.A good weight for your size is not the same as healthy. So much more goes into being healthy than just not being overweight. It is such a shame that people are far more interested in weight than health, and even then mistake a good weight for being overweight! If you want to be healthy, here are some tips to help:First, cut out the drinks like sodas, fruit juices, energy drinks, and loading up on sugar in your coffee (if you drink it). This one change can go miles towards improving overall health! Why fruit juice? All the sugar but none of the fiber. Yes, it has nutrients but it’s still better to just eat the whole fruit. You can drink flavored or unflavored carbonated water if you really love that fizzy taste. Tea and coffee are fine if you don’t over-do it (though you may be a bit young yet for coffee) and don’t load up on the sugars. But you are fine adding whole cream! In fact, whole fats are sadly missing from a lot of diets, and they are so necessary!Whole cream, olive oil, nut oils, and avocado, to name a few, are excellent additions to your diet. They offer necessary fats, taste great, and help you feel full longer.Focusing on getting plenty of fiber-rich vegetables is another great habit to form. These can be cooked or raw.Fruit isn’t bad by any means, but should be paired with fiber and fats to get the best of the fruit while buffering their sugar content. Some fruit with whole-fat, plain yogurt and whole grain toast can be an excellent meal.Beyond your diet, though, sleep is so critical! A lack of sleep is actually a factor in weight, and not getting enough sleep is detrimental to your mental functions and mood.Even just making a habit of walking when you can is a good start to exercise. Walking is a great mood-booster, stress reliever, is good for overall health and keeping your joints working.Stress is another one of those often overlooked factors in weight. Try to keep stress low when you can by walking, getting plenty of sleep, practicing meditative techniques, taking time for yourself to unwind, cutting back on social media, enjoying hot herbal teas, and keeping a journal to get things off your mind.Society puts unnecessary focus on a number on the scale while generally ignoring actual health, so it is harder to move against that flow, but if you can focus on your overall health right now and not worry about just ‘weight’ you’ll be so much better off for your whole life!
