Am I Going To Throw Up Again

How do I get rid of the feeling that I'm going to throw up?

Depends why you have it and at what stage you mean. You mean that feeling of reverse peristalsis? Where your mouth fills with water? You are about to throw up. Just do it and you’ll feel better.Or you mean just nausea? There is a cause. For me, if I’m too tired for too long I feel like throwing up. I don’t know if everyone feels like that when they’re sleep deprived, but I do. And I don’t mean like you are just a bit sleepy. I mean like you’ve been getting way too little sleep for way too long. It was 1–4 hours a night for me for years. Ick. The solution is fix your schedule. The other time was in the first trimester of my pregnancy. I used to barf on the same peoples’ lawn every morning as I got off the bus to go to my 7:30AM rehearsal. The earlier I got up the worse it was. I don’t know what that has to do with anything or why morning sickness tends to go away in the second trimester. But I ended up just sleeping later and later. Not more. I stayed up later and later too. It was a weird schedule. But I didn’t keep barfing so that was good. Some people find ginger helps nausea. That has never done a thing for me. I like ginger. Sometimes I boil water with fresh ginger slices and drink it like tea, because I like hot drinks. But I’ve tried it for nausea with no results. Gravol and even ondanzetron (strong anti nauseant) never worked for me either, but they do put me to sleep. Now for the weird part. Esoterically, throwing up means you regret something. So you have the feeling of being sorry for something. This makes sense if you think about it. Physical reasons are often you ate or drank something that isn’t agreeing with you. Subconsciously you know and regret that. During pregnancy women probably have some mixed feelings about what they’ve chosen to do with their bodies. I really wanted a child, and tried for over a year, and I still barfed every day for the first three months. After that I was fine though. Guess my body got with the program.

Is there any surgery to never throw up again?

I am absolutely terrified of vomiting, and I cant live like this anymore. I think about it everyday and I have horrible anxiety. Does anyone know if there's any surgery out there that can prevent you from throwing up? Or any medication that actually stops you from throwing up? Please help!

What do you do if you feel like throwing up?

oh, good question. i like to place both my hands on a flat surface (like bathroom tile, for example), and put some effort into it. it seems that if you try hard to 'not' puke, you are prolonging the problem. you will feel better if you let the cheerios fly. however, if you are lunging and nothing is coming out, that is a different story...you may be in this for the long-run.

What should I do if I feel like throwing up but can't?

I came here looking for an answer, now I’m leaving behind an answer.Up until a few minutes ago I felt terrible, and it was that way for like over 30 minutes. So what did I do?I’m pretty sure it was something I ate that made me sick, so I was looking for a way to get me to throw up to get it out, as that makes me feel better most of the times. I tried everything to speed up the process (just like the OP I felt like throwing up but couldn’t) but it didn’t work. I had a headache that made me lose focus to actually think of something to help.So my mother tells me that maybe I should take a painkiller, to at least get rid of the headache. I told her no way, I would insta throw up like that. And we both went silent and then I took the painkiller.Never had a painkiller that showed effect within a second before, gotta give the maker a 10/10 for that :P Now I feel better without any of the symptoms I had before. Not saying you should take a painkiller, but something like that might help for you too. Even if it’s just a big vitamin pill it will probably help. I haven’t tested it though, and I hope that I don’t need to.Now for all the other answers asking the op why would you want to throw up? Simple, because if it’s something in your stomach you throw it out and you feel better after. The only way I can get to feel better is to throw up sadly.Hope you get rid of whatever causes that annoying feeling.

Why did I throw up? Will it happen again?

sounds to me like indigestion and a touch of foodpoisonning from the food staying in your stomoch too long. Drink lots of water and try a litte bite of catnip. If you don't feel better in 36 hours you got something more serious and need to see a Dr. Md.

What's the best way to stop feeling like I'm going to throw up?

The feeling of wanting to throw up, basically means your body is trying to get rid of something. .. You need to figure out, are you feeling fluey? Do you have food poisoning?(if you do then vomiting is the best to get rid of it)Get to see a doc, find out why your feeling like that..Maybe you have gallstones blocking your gallbladder. Do you have pain? You don't want to stop something if you have something serious going on. Because stopping it will mask the problem.See a doctor. Doctors are investigators.:”)

Should I drink a lot of water after throwing up?

Ugh. Nausea.Of course you’ll want to rinse out that nasty taste. And ensure proper hydration. But drinking lots of water on a queasy stomach can risk further bouts of vomiting. Juices or milk can make nausea even worse. Lemon-lime soda and saltine crackers sometimes stay down better, especially if the nausea is related to an illness. Sucking on crushed ice is another gentle way to get some fluid into your body. Likewise small sips of water over time is easier for most people to keep down when nauseous, compared to drinking a full glass of water at once. That said, if your nausea is momentary, and gone once you’re done puking (like my morning sickness when pregnant) feel free to drink water and eat as soon and as much as feels good, as long as queasiness is gone. Unappetizing, but sometimes necessary - otherwise I would not have survived pregnancy.
