People get sick from bacteria, viruses, toxins, mold and parasites. So unless your stale cheetos has this stuff on it, you should be fine.

i was n my chrior class today and was gonna suck out the stopper on the end of the ink thng on my pen but then accidentaly sucked out alot of the ink. it was like and inch down. right after it hit my mouth turned numb and then an hour later i got a headache and then 3 hours later i felt sick i also was unable to wash it out of my mouth......am i going to die...i am only 13
How likely is one to get sick from eating moldy food?
Depends on the mold and what you did with it. Some molds produce so-called mycotoxins which can make you ill. Many of those are killed via heat, so if you cooked a moldy food it'd likely taste like crap but won't kill you or make you very sick.The dose, as Paracelsus said, makes the poison. If the mold is new (~5h), the amount of mycotoxin on a small patch isn't dangerous. Large patches of mold, however, can make you vomit or have diarrhea.Cut it off and you're fine, mold is topical so if you remove the patch you're fine to eat the food (within reason, there's a cause for mold, did you leave to food out too long?).Lastly, some food require mold (not every mold is bad, penicillin is derived from mold, blue cheese is moldy by design, and many dry cured meats develop surface molds), so you'd have to be a little bit more specific :)

If that happens every time somebody gets dog germs, then it looks like they are going to amputate your ear — and then your brain.But don’t worry about it. People have had close relationships with dogs for thousands and thousands of years and this freak illness that claimed this man’s arms and legs is so rare that I’ve never heard about it before.Most people are probably immune to that bacterium. If you don’t already have the symptoms of that man in the article, you must be immune too.If it really scares you, next time have an alcohol-free mouthwash to pour in your ears. Or if this didn’t happen yesterday, pour a glass of warm water and antibacterial dish wash into your ear.
