Americans If You Hate Iranians / Iran Based On Media Propaganda Does That Mean You Believe

Americans,do you hate us,iranians?

I'm an Iranian woman living in Iran.I've never been to USA but I sometimes read the comments on Y! or else where on the web and I feel like americans really hate us!!
I can assure you two things, one : Iran is a V-E-R-Y different country compared to what you think and our lives also differ greatly from what you assume.it is actually quite similar to your lives(yes our regime is crazy but we hate them and CONSTANTLY disobey them and live the life that is as much as possible close to our ideal).
two: most Iranian don't hate americans! in fact, most Iranians like americans and the reason is they're sick of our regime's "death to USA" BS and they try to act against it! if you don't believe me,watch the documentary about iran that was shown on The Daily Show.

so,in general do americans hate iranians? would I be treated differently if I go to US?(even though I don't wear hijab, etc.?)
thanks.

On a people to people level, do Iranians hate Americans?

A2A.No. In Iran, there’s a clear distinction between the policies of American government and the people of America. Iranian officials always have said that “’Death to America’ means death to the policies of American government, not to the people of America”. As an American, you can say “we choose our government democratically, so hating our government is hating us”, that’s true, agreed, but then you have to accept that “you” are in charge of overthrowing Mosaddegh’s government (1953 Iranian coup d'état), being a main supporter of Saddam Hossein in his invasion to Iran (Iran–Iraq War), shooting down an Iranian passenger aircraft in our airspace in which all the crew were killed (Iran Air Flight 655) and supporting terrorist groups such as Jundallah in killing Iranian civilians.Read the diaries of those Americans who have traveled to Iran and you will find out that Iranians actually love Americans.

Do you believe America's propaganda against Iran? Why or why not?

Not after reading the book "Confessions of an Economic Hit-Man" by John Perkins, and gaining a complete understanding of the military industrial complex and other industries that plunder resources from other countries and exploit cheap labor, flood foreign markets with rice, corn, soybeans, etc. driving down commodity prices so much that farmers commit suicide.

Do Iranians really hate Americans as much as is portrayed in the media?

No, they don’t. Iranians in general have a positive view about America. Their views on this though is an ENTIRELY DIFFERENT matter:Iranians always very much differentiate between America and the above and even see the difference between a moderate American government like Obama’s and the above abomination. The above started a totally UNNEEDED economic war against Iran very soon after taking power ILLEGALLY this year.

Do American people hate Iranian people?

Americans are generally really nice people who don't hate much of anyone, BUT they often like to pass judgment on the governments of other countries without knowing all the facts. For example, while ALL Iranians know about what happened to Mossadeq because of Kermit Roosevelt; the history of the Shah of Iran, and the full story behind the Iranian revolution, very few Americans know any details of these events, especially those facts related to American involvement. This is never mentioned at the lower end of education (ie. high school) and even only a few universities include these subjects on their syllabi, as far as I know. All they are told is that the current government is 'crazy', and 'Anti-American' without any explanation about WHY. The media in the USA is almost as closed a the media in Iran in this sense. If more Americans want to learn about their country's involvement in Iranian politics, they can check out many websites, like the ones below. Then maybe they can make clearer judgements about Iran's government and people.

Do Israelis see Iranians as their foes? Are they affected by media propaganda against Iran?

My wife, whom I love deeply, a former IDF intelligence officer in her own right, is half Iranian.Making my children - whom I'm crazy about - 1/4 Iranian. Her mother, a Jewish Iranian was born in the beautiful city of Isfahan, Iran, in 1947, and later migrated with her family to Israel. No - we do not see the Iranian people as our foes.Nor the Lebanese, or the Syrians, or the Palestinians. We see the ayatollahs as our foes.Iran's dictatorial leaders are my enemy, here's why:(Quora admins - these are not memes but translations of quotes, thanks)Most Israelis know, that the average Iranian couldn't care less about Israel, but rather wants to have a good job, a good life, good education for his/her children, health and a future.Since the Ayatollahs don't know how to give him/her that, they try to side-wind the issue with the above hateful drivel.I met many Iranians, Syrians, Lebanese and Palestinians, and don't remember not getting along with them personally.Hope this answers your question.Clarification Edit:So we are clear on this, calling out Iran's leadership on it's support of terrorism is something I do often. Is it true that the unifying factor of the Hamas and Hezbollah is the destruction of the Jewish state rather than improving their own lives?I also take the Iran's nuclear goals as a serious threat, that needs to be dealt with - mainly because I listen to the Ayatollah:Noam Kaiser's answer to Iranian Nuclear Threat & Potential Israeli Attack: Why does it SEEM like Israel really wants to go to war with Iran?Yes some Israelis who disrespect Netanyahu and think he is Sheldon Adelson's puppet , like I do:How do Israelis perceive Netanyahu's poor relationship with the Obama administration?Still agree Iran's leadership is a danger to Israel and the mid east. That - again - does not mean we have ill intentions to the Iranian people.

What do American think about Iranian people? Do they think they are enemy? Do they like them?

I've gone away from making judgments about entire groups of people based on their nationality.  Iran is a diverse country.  Its people are not robots.  They're not all in agreement about everything.  The only images we see of the Iranian people in American media are groups of them burning American flags and protesting America in the streets, but is that really Iran? No, of course not.  Iranians don't spend their entire lives walking up and down the streets, protesting America.  Even with the Ayatollah's controversial rhetoric in regard to "Death to America" I don't buy for a second that his opinions are reflective of every Iranians'.Iranians have hopes and dreams like the rest of us.  And though the establishment media attempts to homogenize them, anyone with a brain knows that's not the truth.  We're often shown images like these:And then we're expected to fear them because if you fear another group of people, it makes it easier to dehumanize them and go to war with them, which is where the rhetoric has been headed for years, especially in relation to this nuclear business.  Asking on Quora, however, is not going to give you an accurate representative sample of Americans.  The Americans who are here tend to be left leaning and regardless of their political stance, they're more intellectually invested in the truth than the rest of the public.  If you go to a Trump rally, you're likely to get a very different answer than the one I've provided you with. There are some Iranians here on Quora and I see pretty good stuff from them.

Do ordinary Iranians hate the Chinese?

I don’t think so, but they will dislike the mongols/mongolians. If there is a stigma to seeing asians it will be because the Mongols annihilated 90% of the iranian population under the Khanate. To put it into perspective, the worse European epidemic, the Black Death, killed between 30–60% of the population. Believe it or not, they are still discovering old cities/towns buried underground, burt down by the invaders and forgotten by time.Since Mongolians were also not a civilising force in China. Maybe you can find a common ground in that with the Iranians? I encourage you to carry on learning the language :)

Why does an American Jew claim that they have seldom being treated with consistent warmth as in Iran by Iranians?

You have to understand, above all, Persians are a very unique breed. Don’t try to fit them into a category or a mental image. There are many reasons why; Persians are very political and hospitable where the lines of intent gets blurred out.In Iran, there is such a tangible sense of diversity for all different religious and ethnic groups in yet a nationalistic framework of “Iranian,” above all. Unlike the brains of Americans that is ready to suck in any domestic media’s propaganda, no body in Iran really care who you are. As long as you are not a political threat to the regime, you are fine. I know one exception to this and is the Afghan people that devastatingly enough are mistreated in Iran as a foreign nationals. There is also such a political motive as keep you enemies closer; Persians treat foreigners especially those who may pose a threat to them with such genuine hospitality and kindness that I am amazed myself. Like I said, lines of genuity and political intent is blurred out. Many Persians are just genuinely intrigued by foreigners and love to impress them with their hospitality and kindness. In US, the propaganda machine does not spare a domestic faction versus a foreign one. Conflict is a centerpiece of American strategy in most subtle ways. America really is a loose caste system themed by Economics. Being black, hispanic, Muslim, homeless, poor, etc, are all venues that can put you out if they are given the chance too. Jewish people do enjoy a better statue actually in US, but I have seen how people make fun of them, and despise them for reason or not.
