What is the best way to stay modest?
I have to agree with Jeff Lee. The answer depends on what you mean by staying modest. I’m going to assume that you mean humble, specifically in the sense of not getting too big for one’s britches.I believe that the way that you stay that kind of modest is to never assume that you are better than anyone else. Treat every person as having as much worth as you do. Basically, love yourself and love one another. Much like manners can be defined as behaving in such as way as to make those with you comfortable, modesty can be defined as never letting those with you feel like they’re less than you through your attitude or actions.The best way then to stay modest is to retain and nurture the belief that other people exist as individuals and have rights and strengths and are extraordinary even if they don’t show it. Is modestleritis a word?
I know modest and modestly are a word. But with almost every term, I put "itis" at the end of it because it's really fun. Sometimes I put "eritis" or even "leritis." The thing is that there's a man that I've seen before several times and I don't know him. I refer to him as the "modestleritis" man, but I feel like that wouldn't be the proper way to introduce myself to him. Do any of you know the name of the man? People talk about modesty and it is also mentioned in the bible. But there are many diffferent ideas on this. What are some things you would consider modest and what are some things you would not consider modest. Be specific please.
What does being a modest person mean?
The word modest has a positive connotation. It basically means showing a moderate or humble estimate of one's merits, importance, etc.; free from vanity, egotism, boastfulness, or great pretensions. Let's say you are the smartest person in your class. You get A's on everything but you don't say "hey, look! I got an 'A'...I'm smarter than all of you!" You are modest or humble...you don't show off. I'm sure the person meant it in a good way. I think the person wants you to admit that you're awesome, instead of denying it.
What does this mean : "A modest man never talks to himself"?
Maybe, just maybe it means that an modest man never talks to himself, because if he did - the only thing he could make a conversation about would be himself. And a modest man would never go on and on and on and on about himself now would he? Because that would make him arrogant, bragging, self obsessed ETC. This is my theory any way!
Do you find a woman who dresses modestly more attractive than women who leave little to the imagination?
I think this depends on the man. There’s a lot of things to take into consideration. While some men want and find a women that dresses very modestly attractive and more suitable for him because of the meet the parents factor. Other men find women who dress sexy very appealing as well. I’ve always dressed sexy when it was appropriate but very proffessional for work. My husband love the fact that I dress sexy and don’t care what people think or the fact that I’m not trying to be something I’m not. We’ve been married over thirty years and it’s always worked for us. I personally think that women who never dress sexy or never explore there sexual side is a bad thing. Here’s why. A friend of mine was very plain Jane never dressed sexy always shirts up to her neck long shorts very little makeup. She use to get mad at her husband all the time because he would see a women in something sexy and look at her this made her do mad. But yet she never gave him anything to look at so yes he’s going to look. She came to me one day and asked if she could barrow something sexy for a special date she was planning for him. I took her in my closet and asked her what she was thinking about that she thought was sexy. Well when we walked into my closet she was totally amazed and could not believe all the sexy outfits I had in there and all my heels 129 to be exact. She knew I always dressed sexy she just didn’t know that I had so much of it. Then she started going threw my cloths and really was amazed. You see I have a lot of latex outfits , a lot of leather outfit. Low cut dresses, plunging jumpsuits , that are cut to the belly button super tight bandage dresses micro mini dresses and skirts. Corsets , pvc and vinyl outfits . I had her start trying things on and to my surprise she look amazing and finally settled for a low cut black mini bandage dress that hugged her body perfect. Needless to say her husband was over the top amazed and she said the sex that night was the best she ever had. So the long and short of my story is that. Men all really wantA whore in the bedroom and a lady in public. But never dressing sexy for your man to keep him interested is a bad thing. Because other wise he will always look at the sexy dressed women and wish his wife would loosen up a little even if it is only at home.Christine.
