Interview for volunteering at a hospital? Help?

Every time I'm going through some type of interview, I always noticed how the interviewer asks me "Tell me a little about yourself? Why would you like to volunteer at this hospital? What made you interested in volunteering in this department?"

How in the world am I supposed to answer to this?! Every time I hear this question my mind goes automatically blank and I have no idea what to say. Can anyone give me a few ideas on what to say, since my mind always gets blank when it comes to these questions and I get really nervous!?!?

How to put myself in the hospital?

I'm in the process of something long. To finish, I need to be put in the hospital and have people worry. I was thinking taking almost an overdose of pills, and calling the ambulance, or smelling chloroform, but those seem too risky. Please tell me how I can get put in the hospital for at least 2 days, without killing myself. If no one supports answering my question, I'll go with the OD.

How do hospitals decide whether to dispatch an air ambulance or a regular ambulance?

The only time I know that a hospital decides between ground and air ambulances is for inter-facility transfers. If a patient is in need of rapid transport for specialty care, the doctor might request a helicopter. Otherwise they would call a ground ambulance. In my area an air ambulance cuts the transport time in half, as the nearest specialty hospital is almost 100 miles away. It would be faster, but the bird has to come from 100 miles away to pick up the patient. On an emergency scene, whether or not to call for air transport is up to the EMT on scene. If there are serious injuries that the local hospital can’t handle especially if there’s going to be a long extrication time, then they’ll call for a helicopter. Weather is also a factor, since they only fly in good weather. Rain, wind, snow or ice will ground them.

Can I do an MBA in hospital management after a BDS? Is it good?

Yes! Definately. It has always been a good career option after bds for many dental graduates.AlThough i dont have a very indepth knowledge regarding the surity of the course, but being a dental graduate myself, i too have looked it as a potential career choice and i myself am preparing for the same.As per my research, it can be considered a good option provided you dont have much interest in practicing in future. This being a non clinical line, it is mostly concerned with managing health and hospitals at various levels.Hence, practicing dentistry in future can be questionable unless you are very determined for not leaving the branch!Doing the course from esteemed institutes can also offer good job prospects with high pay as well.

Could you please repeat the answer to the question about refusing to pay for hospital bills without incurring responsibility for non payment that was posted several weeks ago?

I tried to help you find the answer, but my search found several questions that were very similar to what you included in your question. I checked the answers to one of the questions, and found that question had been answered five times. You may need to do your own research on Quora: go to the “Search Quora” box; on my computer screen, that box is near the top of the page in the same line with “Home,” “Answer,” “Spaces,” and “Notifications.” Enter your question (I copied the phrase from your question and pasted: “refusing to pay for hospital bills without incurring responsibility for non payment”). Immediately, your question appeared as a choice, along with four other questions that were similar. You can then decide which question might have been the one which is associated with the answer you are looking for, and click that question. That will allow you to read through the answers. If you don’t find the answer you are looking for, you might try to go back one screen, or do the same search again, and look at the answers for another of the listed questions until you find what you are looking for. Good luck.

What should hospitals do to maximize their social presence?

It is not possible to fully answer the question, "what should hospitals do?" without answering the more fundamental marketing questions:Who are the specific hospital's target consumers/customers?What action does the hospital want them take?Once these questions are answered, you can look at the spectrum of social media possibilities with a more focused lens. This allows you to quickly discard social media elements that either i) don't reach the right types of people or ii) don't effectively engender your desired business action. This initial "pruning" of the landscape is immensely helpful.I think there are some constants that apply to almost all hospitals, though. Chief among them is the fact that hospitals really do change peoples' lives. The emotional difference between "I just had a great cup of coffee at the new place on the corner" and "the doctors at Children's Hospital just saved my daughters life" is almost too enormous to express.A hospital is making positive impacts on people's lives every day. Furthermore, the actions of a hospital not only affect the patient, but also the family and friends of that patient. One positive experience can create dozens of "brand evangelists" for that hospital. This is very different from, say, consumer products. I love my iPad, but the sale of that iPad to me earned Apple only one brand evangelist.Following this line of thought, a primary social media element undertaken by any hospital should be to create and sustain platforms where other people can speak positively about the hospital. A Facebook Page is a great example of this type of platform. To get an idea, check out the Facebook Page for Children's Hospital Boston: http://www.facebook.com/Children...Their wall is a paragon of customers-as-evangelists. The hospital itself could probably get by without ever posting another Wall post. Their nearly half a million Fans are taking care of things for them. And, a positive message from a real person is immensely more meaningful than any messaging the hospital could push out.I obviously don't have access to the Page analytics for Children's, but I can count 22 Page interactions in the past 24 hours. Since the average Facebook user has 130 friends, we can estimate that those interactions resulted in news feed exposure of Children's Hospital Boston to 2,860 people. Pretty awesome when you start to multiply those numbers by weeks and months. Please comment if you have any follow questions and I will do my best to respond.

In the book The Outsiders, why did Ponyboy end up in the hospital??

he inhaled too much smoke trying to save those kids from the burning church...then again after Dally died...he passed out because too many things happened to him and the other greasers

What tempeture should an adult go to the hospital?

I believe a fever of 104 for more than a couple of hours is considered dangerous. 101.2 with flu like symptoms is probably just the flu and should not be treated in an emergency room as it is not life threatening.
I expect the old "take 2 asprin and call me in the morning" is appropriate in this case unless she has other health problems that would make a fever especially hazardous for her.

How many pages should I write for 15 mark Q in the physiology exam in MBBS 1st year?

While writing answers in medical exams 2 approaches can be followedWrite to the point - If for a 15 mark question you are writing 2–2.5 pages to the point you can get 11–12 marks which is good enough. If you are not quite sure about the answer but just wanna fill the pages then go for rule of half i.e for a 5 mark question 2.5- 3 pages and 10 mark question 5–6 pages. In your case for a 1& mark question 5–7 pages should be written.Note :- 1)Answer in physiology exams can always be made more presentable by writing them in flowcharts which will definitely fetch more marks.2) Also while writing answers you can underline the important word or sentences .
