Any Advice On How To Improve On Being A Striker In Football/soccer

Right wing in soccer (football)?

There isn’t just one correct way of playing the position. Your job is to both help the defense and make forward runs. It is impossible to do be involved in every play so you need to be selective. On attack, be aware of how many of your teammates are making forward runs. If there are too many of them going up, you may be better off staying back. Use this time to recover. Conversely, if you have backup in defense and you think that you’ll be able to get the ball, don’t be hesitant to go forward. You job also depends on the current game situation. If your team is protecting a narrow lead, it may be wiser to play more defensively. Periodically get feedback from your coach as to what your primary concerns should be.
When moving forward off the ball, make sure you keep your width. Even if you are planning to make a near-post run, stay outside for as long as you can. This way you’ll be coming in from the blind side of the enemy defensive. When you have the ball, keep possession of it as long as you have free space ahead of you. Defensively, you need to mark tightly and vigorously. It is a bad idea to rest while marking an opponent.

Can you give me some football (soccer) tips?

TRAIN A LOTThe type of training you do depends on the position you want to play.STRIKERS - Practice your finishing by taking shots at a goal. Always aim for the top or bottom corners and the inside part of the side net. Practice your positioning. You will always want to be in a goal scoring opportunity. Practice with a few friends where you try to avoid a CB and go into a goal scoring opportunity. Work on your pace, fitness and stamina too.WINGERS - Pace is key here. Work on your fitness and stamina as you will need it a lot. DRIBBLING is very important so practice this. Place cones and dribble around them. Work on your crossing as you will need to cross a lot. Accuracy is important. work on your ball control too.MIDFIELDERS - STAMINA is very important. You will be running around the pitch so you need to make sure you are not tired . Vision, long and short passing is VERY important. Practice your passing with friends. Pace will be good but it is not that important unless you are playing LM/RM. Long shots will be good too as you will sometimes have to shoot outside the box.DEFENDERS - SLIDE and STANDING tackles are very important. You must be able to interpret where the strikers will go and make sure you are there. You will need a lot of stamina as strikers will make you run a lot. Practice your defending with your friends. Do drills where your friends are attacking and you are trying to defend agaist them. If playing LB/RB you will need a lot of pace and stamina as you will be running up and down the wing. You will also need very good crossing.GOALKEEPERS - practice your reflexes and diving. Make your friends take shots against you. You will need to kick the ball far so practice that.I hope I helped.

How to have a better first touch in football (soccer)?

Party Rave animal. for the most part they aren't. most of my goals are in the penalty box area but it is usually when i get a through ball or a cross. my problem is that i don't have enough space or reaction time to dribble the ball around or pass. i mean i can, but i have to be at a certain distance to make up my mind and not be dribbling at a fast pace. i have a good goal to game ratio because of my teammate who was our best there, he'd pass me the ball in the penalty area or near the sidelines and i'd dribble toward the middle of the goal and shoot or pass. i am not trolling (how or why would i troll in a soccer question?). if you could message me how that would be great

I am no professional so take what I say with a spoonful of salt.Strikers come in many varieties with different skills and proficiency levels :The big strong striker who has good hold up play and can bring in the wingers or attacking midfielder in play. Good in the air. Say, John Walters, Peter Crouch or Benteke.Skillful with the ball, dribbles well and excellent vision. Sets up a lot for his strike partner. Could easily slot in the “hole” and control the attacking patterns. Eg. someone like Dennis Bergkamp.Electric pace combined with fantastic dribbling abilities. Eg. Ronaldo (Phenomenon).Converted from other areas especially wingers. Eg. Henry, CristianoPoacher types. Eg. Lineker, Law.Two or more combinations of the previous points but usually proficiency is lesser than specialists. Eg. Cavani (1+5), Ibra(1+2), Suarez(1+2+5) etc.So decide what type of striker you are. Work to improve constantly on that. At whatever level you are one must constantly refine your technique and physique. Become stronger and faster by working in the gym. Master various controls and first time shooting. Develop shooting from both feet with both inside and laces of your foot. Be reasonably good at heading. Practice finishing from various distances, angles, spin of the ball, heights and different parts of your body, etc. Finally don’t forget to press when defending. Press intelligently so that you aren’t burnt out before the hour mark. The gist is- the more you are capable technically and physically, the more valuable you are to your team.Of course, understanding and moving according to your team is crucial but that is something which you must work as a team not you as a individual alone.
