Any Idea When Cartoon Network Will Be Back On Dish

My wii picture will only work right if my dish network satellite/box is unplugged? any idea why?

Sounds like you didn't connect the Wii to your TV properly.

Most TVs have multiple inputs on the back. You should use a separate input for each device you have connected to the TV. For example, Input #1 is the satellite receiver, and Input #2 is the Wii. Be sure you don't have the connections crossed.

If your TV doesn't have enough inputs of the type you need, the easiest thing to do is buy an AV switch.

You can find these where ever TV accessories are sold. The standard one allows you to connect up to 4 different devices to a single input on your TV and costs $20.

Connect the switch's output to your TV. Then connect the Wii and your Dish receiver to different inputs on the switch.

Now you should be able to change between the Wii and Dish just by hitting a button on the front of the switch.

Does Dish Network have Mnet US?

Well I sure hope so bcuz I wanna watch it too! As of now I think it's only Comcast(West coast) and Fios (anywhere besides the west coast? lol srry I'm from Cali and dunno cable providers out of state). But anyway check and click the source thingy, click "Find Mnet" on the page (should be top middle).

Any idea when Cartoon network will be back on dish?

Word is Dish is negotiating with Turner (the owner of that channel) to try and find a happy medium with them in order to get their networks back. No saying how long that will take, though previous disputes with Dish have lasted anywhere from 2 days to 14 months (and some of which still haven't found a resolve). We'll just have to be patient and see if they come to any sort of agreement.

EDIT: They have reached an agreement! The channels have been restored!

Can I post an idea for a cartoon show in Deviant Art without it getting stolen?

I have an idea for this masterpiece cartoon. Myself and some other kids i told said it was a great idea for a show. (I will keep the title and plot anonymous just because.) And since I have a talent for drawing, I want to share some of its characters and scenes in Deviant Art.
But here's the thing: I'm 14 years old, and I have a LONG ways before I can become an animator and make that cartoon reality. I don't even own any animation equipment, so it's not going to be aired for a while. I'm worried if I express my idea so early, it will eventually be stolen from someone else, maybe even animator who will make that show and act like his idea. DO PEOPLE DO THAT?
Is there a possibility that will happen if I share my idea in the internet?
I want to know if it's safe to keep it for myself or I shouldn't have to worry about posting drawings relating to this cartoon.

Dish network remote not working?

Hey there, Cheri Torres with DISH Network Customer Service here. It sounds like your remote will need to be readdressed to your DISH receiver box. If the remote that is for TV2 does not work you will need to take it to the TV1 location where your receiver box is. If it is TV1 remote that does not work you will need to stay in front of the receiver to readdress. I will list here for you the instructions for readdressing the remote to the receiver. I hope you find this information useful and if you have further questions or concerns feel free to email me directly at Cheri.Torres@Dishnetwork.com. :)

Instructions for addressing the remote to the receiver
1. Go to System Info screen. You can do this by pressing the system info button on the front of the receive box or by pressing the power button once and the channel up button once on the front of the receiver.
2. Hold down the SAT button until all mode lights light up.
3. Enter a number between 1 and 15 using the numeric keypad on the remote. Make sure to change the number to something other then what is already listed in the small white square next to primary remote address(TV1) or secondary remote address(TV2).
4. Press the pound (#) button.
5. Once the SAT button blinks three times, press record.
Note: If successful, the number selected in step 3 will appear in the System Info screen under Remote Address.

I bought a new TV, and my Dish Network Remote won't let me turn up the volume... Any idea?

I had the same problem and called Dish. Their representatives are not technically savy so they said the remote was designed that way. Why have buttons on a remote and they do not work. Wrong answer... He then said the remote must be broken. Wrong answer. I asked was there any way to set remote differently on the remote setup on the settings. He said no. So I went to the Menu, Settings, Remote Manager. On the right side of the screen there is a setting called Limited Mode. Highlight that and you will go to a screen that say Enable or Disable. Check Disabled, and the Save. You have now fixed the problem and your remote will undo app screen on start up of Samsung Smart TV by pushing TV button and then imput button, followed by once again pushing SAT button. Now your remote will work everything. Good Luck

Have you ever accidentally found a good food combination? If so, what was it?

Three combinations I discovered come to mind, and I enjoy them every now and then if I have all the ingredients.SPINACH DIP TUNA SALAD SANDWICH: Make tuna salad (basically tuna with mayo and a little diced onion), toast 2 slices of wheat bread (a softer variety), add a dollop of spinach dip and spread it out (a couple tablespoons), top it with the tuna salad and add a slice of American cheese (the deli kind, not the individually wrapped plastic textured variety). Add the second piece of toasted bread, cut in half diagonally and enjoy! I love this combination, but don't often have spinach dip on hand.LAUGHING COW PEANUT BUTTER TOAST: Toast 2 slices of wheat bread (this can be a heartier variety), spread each with natural peanut butter (not the sweetened kind), then spread a wedge of Laughing Cow light cheese over both (split 1 wedge between the 2 slices). I like this for breakfast or as an afternoon snack!EGGO EGG AND SRIRACHA CHEESE SANDWICH: This one makes my sister roll her eyes, because I go on and on about how delicious it is. The ingredients are important, I've tried different combinations but the “original” is the best: 2 Eggo homestyle waffles, 1 slice deli American cheese (like Land o’'lakes), 1 egg or egg substitute equivalent, sriracha hot sauce. While the waffles are toasting, heat a small non-stick skillet and spray lightly with oil/Pam. Beat the egg (or use liquid egg substitute) and pour into pan. Tilt pan to spread it out, using a spatula, loosen egg from sides and bottom as it sets up. Before it's fully cooked, put the cheese in the middle and add the sriracha (a few squirts should do). Fold the egg over the cheese so you create a little cheese and sriracha filled pocket. Once cooked, cheese melts and blends with sriracha. Place it between your toasted Eggo waffles and bite into the amazing, warm, melty, sriracha cheesy goodness.Mmmmmm…

What TV show do you wish would come back?

There are several. In no particular order…Firefly. The characters are complex, the premise is brilliant, the story has a long arc, and they don't get hung up on sexism, racism, etc.It is thought provoking, sexy, multi cultural, and philosophical. They may have taken the show off the air, but they can't take the sky from me!I'd also have liked to see Caprica continue. It took me a long time to get into the new Battlestar Galactica despite the great actors and premise, etc. For whatever reason the prequel, Caprica, immediately clicked. I'd have to like to see more. The interaction of a polytheistic dominant religion with a monotheistic upstart was fascinating. Watching the ethical dilemmas of AI creation, cultural fusions of different "races", the simple acceptance of gay relationships, mob ties, and the realistic view of people in pain were a great combo. The younger women characters were a little too creepy sexy for my taste, but even that fit in with the debased sense of humanity at times. Since (finally) watching Battlestar Galáctica, the Caprica relationships make long term sense of Commander Adama. The West Wing… in particular, the character of Ainsley Hayes. She made Republican values real and not cartoonish. I actually understood their mindset in a non us vs. them way. I didn't agree with her point of view, but it made sense how she got it. I learned more about US government and civics through that show than I did anywhere else.Jack and Bobby … not a popular show, but I loved the premise. A US president's formative year. The interplay between the idealistic (his mother), the emotionally realistic (his brother), and the practical ( his mom's boss), it was a great show of when ideas collide and how they influence the future. Well written, great acting, and hey! thought provoking. And Mr. Rogers…. because he always liked me just the way I am.
