What are some good makeup ideas when wearing a gold dress?

Gold is such a flattering color but if you wear it wrong then it can end up making you look like a disco ball!The biggest mistake most people commit while wearing gold is that they compliment it with bright red lipstick and heavy eye makeup. This just takes away the entire attention from the dress to your face and the bright lips shine with the eye making the entire attire a disaster. Now that you know what you shouldn’t do here is a makeup look what you can consider depending on how well it suits your style.The following look is just an idea and you can tweak it to your needs. Nude lips are great for a shimmer dress. You can try a nude lipstick with slight pink undertones or even brown undertones. Both work with this look. Pick your shade according to what you feels flatters your outfit the most.I went with a bronze gold on my lids with a very light brown for the transition shade (i.e. in the crease) and a darker chocolate brown on the outer corners. The look is very simple and can be customized based on how much shimmer you want on your eyes. You can build up the color on your lids. I chose bronze+gold because I really like this combination. Choose brown for the outer 1/3rd of your lid as it compliments the gold in the dress and keeps the look very subtle yet sexy. You can also extend the bronze-gold in the first half of your lower lashline and the same brown for the second half of the lower lashline. Do not forget to blend. Blending is the key which helps you achieve the smokiness. Blend the colors together till your liking and keep packing more color if required. Tightline your eyes and use a good mascara (with or without falsies). This look is without the falsies because lets be real most of us are horrible at applying fake eyelashes!You can even wing your eyeliner for a more dramatic look!I hope this helped :)PS. I feel weird when I'm wearing makeup....like i don't look pretty because its not my natural look? Why?
maybe because you are using too much or the wrong colors. Most of the prettiest people to wear make up swear by more is less and just using colors that are natural to enhance natural features look the best. Don't buy cheap make up because it looks cakey. If you use higher quality make up with high pigments you will use less, and you wont get that caked on look.
What is a good natural makeup look with no eyeliner?
good question. i was recently wondering this as well because there are times when i feel eyeliner is a little harsh and isnt good for a really natural look. i saw a model doing this, all she wore around her eyes was a medium brown eyeshadow. she applied it to her eyes so that it would contour her eyes and still highlight them, but it looks so much more natural than eyeliner. from far away, it looks like you have eyeliner on but close up it looks really natural. if you cant bear to not wear any eyeliner, you can wear dark brown eyeshadow along your lashline.
A nice and natural makeup look?
First, apply tinted moisturizer all over your face. Then, dot a yellow-based concealer on any undereye circles and blend. Then, use a bronzer and apply with a light hand where the sun would naturally hit your face. Finish your face makeup with a dusting of coral peachy blush on your cheeks for a sunkissed glow. Blend a soft shimmer golden nude eyeshadow with a tan/nude/with a slight pink one to get the perfect base shade for all over application. Use a light shimmer bronze all over the lower lid and a lightly shimmer khaki/taupe in the crease. The eyeshadow is optional. Blend well. Line your eyes with a purple pencil eyeliner. Top with your favorite mascara. For lips, try a rosy pink lipstick that is soft and natural. Top it with a pink gloss.
Im not allowed to wear makeup to school?
Well i wear makeup to school.. secretly... but the other day my dad found out. My mum was cool with it untill now, after my dad found out. He saw my face clearly and saw that i was wearing a bit (foundation, blush and mascara) its not heaps at all. Its not like i cake on my makeup.. i dont even wear eyeliner!!! It looks natural to me. I look horrid without make-up. I have massive dark circles (which i cover with foundation) and my skin looks uneven in tone. (i dont hace any acne or anything though) My dad saw my face before i left for school in the morning and he made me take it off because he was like "you go to school to study, not for any other reason." He says i look better without it. But i can tell he is just saying it. I look sooo much better with it and i am so much more confident I looked at myself in the mirror after taking it off and cried. My face looked horrid. It even made my hair look ugly (which i like most about myself!!) So i couldnt stand wearing no makeup so i took it to school and applied it when i got there. If your wondering - i am 14 yrs old- nearly 15. I would probably think it is a bit young for makeup, but i look so beautiful with it!! People think i am like 18 even without makeup, so no- im not trying to look older- i just wannna look really pretty and wanna feel confidence. i dont wanna hide my face when my crush comes around- i wanna show off my natural beauty enchanced with a bit of makeup!! What to do?!! PLEASE help me:)
