What are the best drug movies of all times? Why?
Trainspotting is the quintessential drug movie. There are a lot of movies about casual drug use or the experience of being on drugs that are interesting, but Trainspotting seems to capture something that makes it difficult for former crank/meth users to watch (this movie is actually about Heroin, but the effects of withdrawal from Heroin and meth seem to be similarly difficult). This has been my experience when discussing the movie with crank fiends anyway. In particular, the scenes of withdrawal where hallucinations and extreme physical pain are common.Aside from that the movie is very entertaining even for non-crank fiends. I've seen it multiple times and find it both hilarious and insightful. Anybody who has grown up in a social circle with addicts will find things to relate to as much of the movie deals with the ups and downs of using vs trying to meet minimal expectations of society, parents, non-addict friends, etc.
Do you support/oppose drug laws?
@ constructguy.....I have to feel for you on that one....but I can tell you from personal experience that it is easier to obtain illegal substances than legal substances...Weed, Cocaine, etc are MUCH MUCH easier to obtain than alcohol. I just think that if heroin, weed, coke, E, LSD, etc were regulated by the government and legal at either 18 or 21, then it would be much harder to obtain them if you were underaged. But I feel for you on that one...plus heroin was on my maybe list for the very reason you just mentioned, it's some BAD ****.
What are the must watch movies to see before you die?
This order need not necessarily be the exact top 50 but it can alter depend on one’s interest, I’m a guy who’s interested much in non-fiction, thrillers, action, rom-coms than horrors,nevertheless there are exceptions.
