Any Offline Rpgs Like Wow Gw2 Or Rift

What are some good MMOs to try out besides EVE Online and World of Warcraft?

Rift is coming out later this month. I've been in the last several open beta events and it's definitely going to be one to play at launch. There's an open event going on right now if you want to give it a try for free (servers are pretty crowded).(February 15, 2011)Rift was fun, then decent, and ultimately lacked staying power for me (the end game was particularly tepid). I was gone after 6 months. Most of my friends that play are now in Starwars:The Old Republic (SWTOR). I am taking a hiatus.(January 8, 2012)Up and coming is Guild Wars 2, Highly recommended! Played the beta and it's going to be in the running for game of the decade. In other news, Vanguard: Saga of Heroes has recently gone free-to-play. If you're looking for a truly ambitious title set in a jaw-dropping world then Vanguard is the game to play.(August 14, 2012)It's been a slow year on the MMO front (post-GW2, which was a blast, though lacking in meaningful updates). A look at the charts reveals that EVE online is still going strong. In a crowded market most MMOs have gone free to play (including Rift and The Secret World, both very much worth checking out.)(August 24, 2012)

Have you left an MMORPG? Why did you leave and how long did you play it for?

I started off with RIFT. It is quite an amazing mmo in my opinion. But i never got around to getting involved enough with the community.I stopped Rift when Archeage came along. Got me quite excited and all. Reached 50, did the Halsa farming.Spent about 6 months and left when i realised the amount of p2w it had.And then I started Aion. I quiet liked the various classes, especially the unique ones like aethertech and songweaver. Mained a chanter. Made alts of songweaver and cleric. Then 4.8 patch hit and i took and indefinite break. After that Skyforge came along, I tried my level best to enjoy the game. It has the most amount of unique classes by far and you can choose any, you just have to spend time on getting your desired class. But I just couldn’t farm/grind that bad. Then I started Tera. Cool game. But auto-matching ruins the interaction. And from what I’ve heard the community is a bit toxic.Months later I went back to Aion and am still enjoying the game. The game is quiet broken, but the community is much more open and warm. People are quite tolerating of your mistakes and help you learn. Currently we are facing the grind to lvl 75. But it won’t be much of a problem with the people always there to help. While playing Aion, tried Blade & Soul. Stopped it after level 20.

In World of Warcraft, what does an assassination rogue do?

Assassination rogues are the main type of rogues.  Their a mix of the other specs available, namely subtlety and combat. Game wise:Assassination rogues just hurt a lot and use to be considered the best viable specialisation for PvP (player versus player) for a long time. (up to Mists of Pandaria) assassination rogue has never been a very good spec for PvE (player versus environment), although they are the preffered spec for leveling. Lore wise:Lore wise the assassination rogue is pretty much the only rogue. All major rogue figures in the warcraft universe are considered assassination rogues, due to the their acts in the lore. For instance Garona Halforcen assassinated the king of stormwind during The First War. Noticeable exception: Valeera Sanguinar, the arena companion of current high king of the alliance, Varian Wrynn, is considered a combat rogue, due to the fact she isn't sneaky, but more combat oriented. She can't be stealthy in an arena and therefore she's considered a combat rogue.

In World of Warcraft how do you get to Borean Tundra?

I haven't played WoW in a long time, but the Wrath of the Lich King expansion left an indelible mark in the heart of all of us, because it was that great. And Borean Tundra, of course, was one of the areas in WotLK.To get there, you'd have to catch the Zeppelin from Orgrimmar or Undercity; you can go to either Howling Fjord, or Borean Tundra.Obviously, that's if you're Horde. I mean, nobody really plays Alliance... do they? ;)But if you do, aside from my condolences, I submit that you can catch the boat from Stormwind!

What are some good free RPG MMO's for PC, that don't require to much processing power?

Well both Neverwinter and Runescape have already been suggested. Have to say though Neverwinter’s animations are a bit iffy. As for my reccomendations for low spec MMOs, I’ll start with Artix Entertainment’s Adventure Quest Worlds.Like if you PC can't run that then you have some serious problem. They have recently started to release a beta for a 3D version of the game which looks interesting.Besides that it is hard to recommend games without knowing your specs. Like my last PC didn’t meet the mimimum specs for SW:TOR but the games still ran at 60fps in instances.

What is a good MMO for someone who only has a few hours a week to play?

This is a great question. No game requires you to play for hours every day, but most MMOs are targeted toward players who do, making it hard for those with less time to enjoy them. I honestly can't recommend WoW or anything similar if you can only offer a few hours each week. Not because you couldn't accomplish anything - there are plenty of quests and instances that only take a few minutes - but because it would be absolutely impossible to compete with the mainstream players. You would never get a shot at being the best of anything, or even a valuable member on a team. It would be a very lonely experience, unless you have good friends who also play casually, or you just want to customize your character and practice crafting skills in your free time.So back to the question, what is a good MMO for a casual player? The answer is something that doesn't give hardcore players an unfair advantage. Most multiplayer FPSes, like TF2 or L4D2 would be a good choice. Spend a weekend mastering your reflexes and a particular weapon/role, and you could immediately compete with some of the regulars. There are also a few different kinds of RPGs that may work for you. EVE Online only requires logging in for about 10-30 minutes at a time, but then you have to wait days for your actions to finish. Vindictus requires considerably less time than WoW/Rift/EQ2 to reach max level, allowing you to jump into end game grouping much sooner. Champions Online is similar, with fast-paced action, but the downside is a fair amount of quest grinding. What it all boils down to is finding a game that provides a mechanic you enjoy (PvP, PvE, character development, crafting, exploration, etc.) and has a community that supports players who aren't always going to be available. If the community isn't casual-friendly, you're better off playing single player games where events don't progress unless you are present.
