Any Tips For High School

High school party tips?

Omg i'm excited for you!
A few things to keep in mind.
*it's probably going to be loud.
*make sure you can stay in touch w/ ur friend
*DON'T leave any drinks unattended; if you have to go to the bathroom, get a friend to watch it for you or get another drink when you get back. if you don't do that, someone could spike it.
*hav a good time...if ppl start drinking or smoking, leave promptly b/c if the police came, YOU would be screwed over too.
*make sure you have a ride home, don't get into a car with a drunk driver (duh).
*don't wear too much make-up; in this case, less can be more. just some lightly applied eyeshadow, mascara, and a thin layer of eyeliner would be gr8.
*hip-hugging jeans and cute, sparkly top are classic goregous party clothes....jeans that fit & make ur booty look cute work like a charm :)
*i would suggest wearing your hear down, but bring a pontytail holder or rubber band to have there just in case your hair starts to get messy.
*lip gloss is poppin'! it says 'friendly and flirty'
*don't be afraid to mingle!!!
*this may sound stupid, but put on deodorant right before you leave, & brush your teeth; minty fresh breath
*don't be afraid to mingle :D
*have fun!!!!!

Any tips for senior year of high school?

Senior year is the supposedly the best year in high school. Filled with friends, senior trip, graduation and most important, prom! Besides that, this is your last year of high school. Make it memorable! Now, when you first start your senior year, the first term matters on your transcript that will be sent to different colleges. Start out your senior year with a bag bang and get high grades. Even though this is senior year, prove to colleges that even though it is your senior year, you are still serious about your education.

Now, besides grades...get memorable with your high school. It was where you have been for the past 3 years. It's where most of the dramas happened and where you get new friends. Join a club that you never thought about joining, help stage crew, run for S.U, help fundraisers or join an elective class that you have always wanted to do. Make your last your fun. I know that you want to relax and have a chill year. But, being involved with your school gives back to the community and it also provides you with memories that you were part of something totally bigger.

I am about to start my first day of high school, any tips?

Congratulations first of all! Here are my tips which do not solely apply to high school:Step out of your comfort zone. Everyone is nervous on their first day, maybe even scared but don’t let this stop you! By stepping out of your comfort zone and maybe talking to people you wouldn’t normally talk to, volunteering for things, or raising your hand, you’ll be sure to make a good impression.Make a friend in every class. This might relate back to stepping out of your comfort zone for some people but I think it’s good to have at least one person in each class for you to talk to. This relationship could be helpful throughout the year as you can rely on them as a study buddy or just as a good friend. In addition, you’ll be able to make a whole lot of new friends this way.Be considerate of others. Whether it be not slamming your bag into people in the hallways, opening a door, or complimenting their shoes, a kind gesture can go a long way, especially on the first day. You won’t imagine the things people remember, no matter how small the gesture.Don’t forget your teachers. Be sure to make a good impression by participating in class, asking questions, and not leaving without saying goodbye/thank you. These people will be your teachers for the rest of the school year if not in future years to come and you don’t want it to start off on a bad note.Have fun! Try to relax and not worry too much because honestly, everyone else is just as worried if not more. If you give it a chance, you’ll find yourself having a better day than you expected.I wish you all the best and a great first day! Hope all goes well :)

Tips for drinking at high school parties?

True true, we all go through it, and from going through it myself, my best advice is not to drive, whether it is you, or whether it is someone else who got wasted at the party. Tens of thousands of people are killed every year from drunk drivers, innocent and drunk drivers alike.
Another tip would be to get your drink yourself, and not let any one near it. This is a great opportunity for a guy to slip you a roofie ( date rape drug). Keep your friends near. Guys' faces may appear nice, but just be on your guard. I may sound to 'preachy', but looking back on how i behaved, it surprises me that I'm not dead. Just be on your guard.

Do you have any tips and advice for high school freshmen?

GET A MAP OF THE SCHOOL. It is likely you will be given one, but know where your classes are before the first day. Feel confident in that. I got lost so many times my first week, and cried in the hallway on the first day of school because I couldn’t find my advisory. Don’t let it happen to you.Make a good first impression with your teachers. This will stick with them for the whole year, so be sure you hand in work on time, be respectful, and participate in class. It will be appreciated.Bring your own lunch and a book or phone. First of all, you don’t know how gross that cafeteria food is. Play it safe. Also, if you don’t know anyone, bring something to do at lunch so you don’t feel awkward. Don’t feel pressured to make friends on the first day, either. I was the new kid, and I didn’t find someone to talk to at lunch until the fifth week of school. Don’t worry, you’ll find someone.Bring pencils, pens, and notebooks to class. Even if the school tells you otherwise, BE PREPARED. It is the worst feeling to be in your first lesson and have nothing to take notes with. It also contributes to your first impression.BE ON TIME. This is crucial! You will get some leeway on the first few days, but to eliminate stress, memorize that map of yours! You also don’t want to walk in a class ten minutes late and miss important information.DON’T DATE UPPERCLASSMEN. Even if they seem nice, it can be dangerous! Also, don’t ask them for directions. Ask a teacher or friend in your grade. Seniors will likely ignore you or tell you the wrong place to go (this isn’t always the case, but better safe than sorry!)Act confident. Even if your stomach is churning, don’t act like it. Everyone is nervous, but you will soon realize high school isn’t as scary as it is made out to be. Plus, if you seem outgoing, people will be more likely to start a conversation with you. This can get rid of some of those butterflies!Know that you’ll be okay. High school can be rough at times, but you’ll make it through! You will get used to it all.I am almost done with my freshman year of high school, and it isn’t so bad. Work on time management and procrastination, it will save you. Also remember to do your best on every assignment, as one little “C” can bring your GPA down tremendously. My workload fluctuates, but every school is different. Don’t feel too overwhelmed.I hope you have a great year, and know that you will be okay!!

Do you have any tips/tricks for succeeding in high school?

Depends on which high school you go to. Some high schools don’t offer as many extracurriculars as others. You should do your best to get involved in, (e.g. extracurricular activities, sports, robotics.) Even if academics are easy for, it's usually not enough for colleges. And manage your time well.
