What place would you most like to visit?

I like to travel in India. India has many historical and religious places for visiting. Due to beautiful climates it attracts tourist. I like to some places like Goa, Shimla, Kashmir, Sreenagar, Ooti and more. Goa is my one of the favourite beach.

What are things you must do when you visit Goa?

I have spent 23 years of my life in Goa, and till date I failed too see Goa beyond the crowded beaches of Calangute, Colva, Candolim. I visited the mainstream churches in Old Goa, and I ate at the typical restaurants in Panjim. Now that I work at a Travel Company called Goa Amigo, I get to travel to various places to pitch our initiatives and plans.I would recommend people coming to Goa to do something off beat now.Rent a bike and travel through the tiny lanes of Goa, explore the Goan farms. Take the road to Aldona, which is lined up with coconut trees on both the sides. Try staying in Villas and homestays, rather than hotels.Stay away from the crowded beaches. Instead visit beaches like Velsao or Sernabattim in South Goa. Do not litter these beaches. These beaches are clean only because not many people visit these beaches.Try out a private backwaters cruising option in the hinterlands of Goa. Since I am the manager at Rediscovery Cruises, I happen to take these rides quite often. The Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary is just opposite, and I have spotted a lot of migratory birds as well as crocodiles. My customers go back happy and amazed, as they have missed out these options all their life.Try out the thrilling treks, like Netravali, Maynapi, if you plan a trip to Goa in the rains. There are difficulty levels here. Try choosing the easier ones if its the first time you are going for trekking.Visit the forts of Goa. The Reis Magos and Terekhol especially. They give you an amazing view of the waters. Also, you get to see a lot of Goan history in them.Take a walk through the Fontainhas in Panjim. These lanes are filled with brightly coloured Goan houses, built during the Portuguese era. They reflect the Portuguese architecture.Try eating at small places, rather than visiting big fancy restaurants. Try out Kinara in Chimbel, or Sharada in Bambolim, Darya in Ponda, Anandashram in Panjim or Vasco. These are places which serve Goan food retaining its original taste.Last but not the least visit churches like Mae De Deus in Saligao, St.Bartholomews Church in Chorao, Three Kings Church in Cansaulim. These churches are magnificent and as beautiful as the Old Goa churches.
