Any Useful Ways Can Help Me To Save My Budget

Help me budget my $400 biweekly check.?

I don't need to go into details =) just Finishing my last semester in college, have a job in my career field but i work part time for now so my checks are $400-$500 biweekly. I budget biweekly with my paychecks because it seems to make sense that way. Don't include groceries when coming up with a budget/spending/saving plan for me. Just tell me how would you plan your $400 checks as a young 21 year old soon to be college grad living on her own.

Set bills monthly:
Rent: 340
Utilites: $40
Phone: $90
Internet: $40
medical debt =( $50
store card $30
monthly set bills amount= $590

biweekly check: $400
biweekly bills: $297

I have 2 banking accounts

account A checkings: bills & needs such as toiletries and cleaning supplies (so i basically dump $297 here each check)
account A savings: i try to put $20 here each check for emergencies

Account B: checkings: money to spend on myself, so it's basically whats ever left over after bills so I'll have $103 here every 2 weeks but i'll round off that random dollar and put it in account B savings.. just because lol.

Account B savings: $3

I want to see if there's a better way to manage my little checks for entertainment. I got my living expenses down. but how should i go about planning my little $100 every 2 weeks for things i want like clothes, makeup, getting nails done. and how can i save more money for the future besides $6 a month lol.
just looking for other opinions. thanks. what would you do??? be realistic. thanks =)

How to budget my money?

I make $1400 a month. Me and my friends go out to eat a lot. I pay insurance phone bill things like that. But it seems like i just spend money unesicarily. For example, will go to church, then friends will say, lets go to mcodnalds. I want to go, but that money goes quick. I get paid tues, and i am scraping the bottem of the barrel for gas money right now. How do i budget my money, and try to keep control of how much money i spend? Because basically, if there is money in the account, and i can afford it, i go out. I almost cant control myself. Any ideas?

How can I budget my money?

Everybody is different. We have different habits, beliefs, thoughts, emotions, etc. You have to get to know yourself to find out what makes you tick. Why do you spend money? When do you spend it? What do you spend it on when you get the urge to spend money?

You can answer these questions bu using a free budget planner. You don't need to set up a budget, but you should record all your expenses. When you do that, you find out how you spend your money. Then you can decide how to cut back on your spending habits. It is really no use for me or anybody else to tell you how we save money.

The key is that you have the resolve and discipline to record every single one of your expenses even the cheap morning coffee.

Check out these free budget planners and chose the one that works best for you. All of these things can be accessed on the internet, which means that you can enter your expenses anytime you have access to the internet. Again, which budget planner you chose is a personal preference.

What is the best way to teach an adult with Aspergers how to budget and save money?

Oh man, how’s about you let me know if you come up with a solution to this quandary! HahaOn a more serious note, though…Several issues surrounding ASD may interfere with one’s ability to budget finances appropriately. For me it’s mostly a lack of executive functioning, mixed with a bit of ritual/routine/compulsions and obsessions.I was raised by a CPA/financial advisor who grew up dirt poor and stumbled into loads of money by the time he and my mother had me, so I felt a severe need to understand money and budgeting a young age. Ironically, this also led to complete avoidance as I felt money was intimidating and complex. At this point, I use my routines and obsessions to my advantage. I’ve set up automatic transfers to two different savings accounts to trick myself into thinking I’ve less money than I actually do. I’ve also found it quite helpful to literally budget out on paper so it feels more concrete and I have something to pull out if i get overwhelmed. Making it as detailed as possible is key. So, take your income and compartmentalize it to the point you know exactly how much you can spend on coffee every week, etc. Obviously this is something you will want a neurotypical to assist with lest you want to risk a total meltdown or completely nixing the food or clothing categories, etc.I must admit I still have trouble with all of this. The idea is daunting, and I often do find myself cancelling the food category for a month and trying to live on chips leftover from the month before. During times like this I sometimes move to a bi/monthly budget plan in order to make necessary adjustments if I’ve run off the rails.I guess the key is offering yourself up as a resource and paying attention as best you can (without getting creepy, invasive, parental, etc.) to notice any dangerous -financially or otherwise - decisions related to the autist’s choices on structuring a budget. Finally, keep in mind that many of us DO have priorities that are different than yours. If we want to spend 70% of our disposable income on matchbox cars and live in a studio apartment and wear the same five outfits every week to avoid going into debt and depression/overload, let us! :)

How do you tighten an already tight budget?

I hear you. All the suggestions I read about, I already do. Then I look back at my purchases and I can't really cut anything! We needed this and that, etc. Yes, I can probably do without *some* things I buy each month, but a month is a long time and really I'd be saving like $50. Whoopee. I need to save more like $200. Where can I cut expenses by $200? I really can't. It's frustrating. The only thing that would help us, is if one of us got a P-T job in addition to us already both working F-T. It wouldn't be good for us and our 2 kids. We've made some small cut backs, while still keeping our lifestyle:

1. We dine out 1x a week (Saturdays). It's our indulgence and we have fun as a family. We cut out desserts and alcoholic drinks and can save about $25-30 off the bill. This helps in keeping our dine out expenses a month on track. We will also do a cheap dinner out - like McDonalds or Burger King. If we overspent on a dinner, we'll use our pocket money for it if we have enough. Me and my hubby get an "allowance" each month.

2. We buy store brand at the grocery store whenever possible. Coupons don't save me much money and its too time consuming, if I'm only going to save $2.00. We try to limit our grocery shopping. We try to use up all our food before we go grocery shopping.

3. We quit smoking in January, saving us $1500 / year.

4. I have to have air conditioning. I turn the thermosat way up during the day, when we are not home. Not sure yet if it's saving us much money.

Hope this helps.
