Anybody Else Tired Of Zimmerman Questions

Are Conservatives and/or Republicans reacting with the right message to the George Zimmerman trial outcome?

First, ignore everything that comes out of Ann Coulter's mouth. I'm not even sure she's from this planet, much less a Republican/conservative.As far as King and Gingrich, it's consistent with their recent pattern of behavior -- they're choosing the message that will play with their base, and anyone else can go suck it. They're telling their people what they want to hear -- that people who have any problem with the verdict are stupid or ill-informed or motivated by politics. What they ignore -- at their peril -- is the people in the middle -- white AND black -- who DO understand how the case played out, understand why the verdict is what it was, but still feel like "not guilty" and "innocent" weren't the same thing in this case. That the verdict was technically correct but completely glosses over Zimmerman's role in creating the situation that resulted in Martin's death. If I were them, I would leaven that bread with a little basic humanity. I would add some acknowledgement that maybe Zimmerman was a little overzealous and the best way to respect law enforcement is to let them do their jobs and not play Batman. Show America you understand -- not even as a racial issue, but as an issue of civil co-existence -- that that this Old West mentality, where people go into every situation looking for trouble with one hand already on their "shootin' arn", just isn't healthy. But they're so afraid of attacks from the right fringe of their own party they can't do that because it would be seen as a sign of weakness. Better load up the stale talking points about how it's politically motivated to... you know... actually put a guy who shot an unarmed teenager to death on trial. Is it the "right" message? I guess future elections will show the wisdom or folly of it. From where I sit, I see a bunch of people who are way more concerned with whether the law worked out in the gun owner's favor than the teenage kid who didn't have to die in the first place.

Can a soldier use his cell phone in Afghanistan?

This is usually an "on/off" issue, i.e., either you have internet access or not.If you're off-grid in the field, you have no access to the outside world, whether internet or cell phone. If you're at a base, you usually have full Facebook, email, etc. access and are able to buy a cell phone from a local vendor. Most questions like this are asked to make someone feel better about wiring money to a "US Servicemember" who asked for money.I've been in the military for over 23 years. I've never heard of another real servicemember who has asked random people on the internet for money, and certainly not for any legitimate reason. Here's how you know that someone posing as a servicemember is scamming you:You've never physically met him or her, and,They ask for money or gift cardsHere are my tips regarding anyone you've never physically met:If you're speaking to someone in another country or other place far away by email or phone and have never physically met them, you aren't their fiance. I recommend you don't even call yourself their girlfriend/boyfriend.Remember that anyone with access to email and who needs money can use that same email to contact real family and friends they actually know and have met in person.Regarding servicemembers:Unless you're personally traveling to meet a servicemember, you won't need to pay for anything the servicemember needs or does. And I do mean anything. They can be thrown in jail by the military and you still won't need to pay anything. The military branches have relief funds to help young, poor military members who need baby supplies, travel for emergencies, provide phone cards, fix their cars, etc. If they have a close family member die when on deployment, even malingerers get personal help from the command to take care of what they need.Given the prevalence of military email scams, it's a 99.99% chance that anyone emailing you claiming to be a servicemember and asking for money isn't in the military at all.

Does Mind Body (mindbodyonline.com) have competitors? Who are they?

I live in the Central Coast, where the MindBody campus is located. As an independent technology consultant, I've worked with a handful of MBO customers and have friends and acquaintances that do or have worked for MindBody.I would love to see MBO spend the time and money on their software development and UI that they do on their marketing. As a user, it's not a great experience. And the admin backend is even worst IMO.  A client asked me to research alternatives to MindBody a one year ago. In her case, she was tired of having to do data-entry twice: once into MBO and then again into her accounting system (desktop version QB). MBO at that time did not integrate into QB or QBO. It's entirely possible that it does now. The two competitors that caught my eye at that time for a truly SMALL business were Booker (Booker | Business Management Software) and Timely (Timely - Smart Booking Software). Both have a helpful and knowledgeable sales and support team, and Booker was willing to take themselves out of the running when her use case wasn't right. I've since referred and configured Timely for a few other clients, including a wellness studio (with classes and 1:1 appts) and a home inspector. I moved my own scheduling and invoicing to Timely, too. Unlike MBO, they do not process payments, but they do nearly everything else at a fraction of the price. Both the back-end and front-end are cleaner and better designed from a user and software perspective. I rarely have to answer questions or trouble-shoot Timely. It's a simple and dependable product. Their support is stellar, and they are regularly adding more features, integrations, and functionality. I truly get the impression that they care. There seems to be a lot of competition in this market, but I'd start with either Timely and Booker. FrontDeskHQ looks like a great product, but their price implies they're better suited for larger facilities or franchises. Full disclosure: After being so pleased with the product and company, I am now a Timely Reseller. If anybody would like a free 30-day trial or demo, reach out to me and I'd be delighted to help.

I bought a gift for my boyfriend to surprise him. However, when I gave him the gift, he didn't accept it and requested that I not buy things for him. I felt bad because I put so much effort into it. Is not talking to him the right thing to do?

There can be many reason.point 1: Men don't like been gifted, that makes them feel like girls. Only confident men will accept the gift.point 2: Thing is gift comes with a baggage. you have to return the gift as well (which should be of the same or more price). so may be he does not have enough many to return the gift.point 3: He does not want to get involved seriously and gift makes him feel that relationship is deep and that scares him.point 4: Just talk to him and ask why he dint like the gift, may be he just does not want you to spend money on him.FYI: whatever it is stop wasting time and being angry, its of no use, just go and talk and sort it out. After all he is a man not a dog,he can talk..you see, he can give the reason better than anybody. All the best girl :)

Why does the USA reckon that it has the right to say who gets nuclear weapons or not? It's the only country ever to have used them in combat, isn't it?

Yes. Maybe you just answered your own question.Someone must assume the position of leadership. I get tired of it always being the U.S. but no one else is willing to step up. When the U.S. adopts a position of isolationism, the world goes to hell. If you think things go well without U.S. intervention, I refer you to the 20th century. We are not perfect, no one is. What other country would liberate Europe, twice, (three time actually if you count the winning of the cold war and the fall of the iron curtain), then helped rebuild both sides? Yes, we nuked a country that started a war with us but then we helped rebuilt them too. We liberated South Korea. Sure, we lost one in Vietnam. Liberated Kuwait, then left. Stopped the invasion of Saudi Arabia, then left. Iraq and Afghanistan? A work in progress. We will see.I do not mean to denigrate the contribution and sacrifice made by our allies, especially those of the British Commonwealth but one must surely admit that the U.S. was key. An isolationist U.S. could have sat the above out.Does anyone think that a nuclear North Korea is a good idea? Who else is going to intervene? France? Canada? Germany? I could go on but the answer is no one.I guess we have the right of decision because we take the right, although I see it as more of a responsibility, that no one else will.I will probably get some hate for this one but I have reread it and stand by what I wrote. I do want to reiterate that I realize the terrible price paid in two world wars by the Commonwealth and in no way wish to belittle it. I want to recognize their continued contribution as allies as well.

I’m going to become a doctor but I feel I must learn coding/programming to keep up with the future trends. Am I correct?

I personally earned how to do medical coding while working in a rehab hospital unit. It is quite complex but not that difficult to learn and is usually most frequently used for billing purposes. However, you can not find what the final payment will be from the code. Most medical care providers have a billing/coding person employed inside or outside the office/department. Just having the code does not mean you will know what an individual payer will pay. Often only a % of the total cost you submit will be allowed as payment. If you are not in a position to hire a billing/coding person, then you will absolutely need to learn to do it yourself. You will need to purchase current reference books to match the billing code up for each diagnosis as well as treatment. It takes lots of time and practice to select accurate codes and submit them in the right places on the forms each payor will require. If you ARE in a position to hire a coder, you are lucky. If not, maybe you can look for courses in how to BE a coder. I was personally trained by an experienced nurse who did the coding for our entire rehab unit. Of course, you would need to find a coder willing to patiently train you under individual supervision. I do not think you have to be certified for this role.Personally, I think you will be more dollar-wise to practice your medical care and let someone else in a clerical position do this task. Your medical practice time is more valuable unless you have to do it all without help.In either case, good luck!
