Anyone Else Having This Issue With Charging Your Battery On Ios 8

IPhone 8 battery swelling!!!!!?

So I just got the iPhone 8 and first thing I read when I activate my phone all happy is a report of swollen batteries is this a hoax or is it true ? And if it’s true can I use my device while charging ? I just paid 800 for a device I don’t want to have to get a new one

IOS 9.0.2 sucks. Has anyone faced issues regarding battery life? I need to charge my phone every now and then. Is there any fix?

I updated my iPad to version 9 and faced App crashes and App support issues, and being a developer, had to roll back to 8 for now.. Am gonna wait for a month till Apple developers do some finishing on the OS 9 for good!Right now some apps still run butter smooth on 8 rather than 9, although the case is not the same on my iPhone 5s for some weird reason! ALL apps, work fine, including the one I created myself... So I am guessing it is hardware and software collaboration as of now that is FORMING the BUGS :P

Is anyone else having battery issues on iOS 12 GM?

Yes, I usually keep my iPhone 8+ on aQM charging stand with Messages open all the time in case I get a message. on ios11 it would stay about 100% charged all the time. Now it goes down to the point where I get Low Battery (15%) dialogs which eventually result in it shutting off entirely. My Battery Health displays 98% and Peak Performance Capability.I’ve got a couple of QM chargers where I’ve had this happen (typically overnight). The charging indicator is showing on both of them even when this occurs, so I don’t think it’s either device. It’s intermittent and annoying, Doesn’t seem to happen when I’m picking up and replacing the phone on a charger multiple times during the day. It’s not just with Messages, I’ve had iBooks open (usually has white text on black background) and have had the same battery drain even when it’s sitting idle for hours, no human interaction at all. Strange! Assuming there’s a bug somewhere that they’ll eventually catch and fix.

My iphone 6 battery is suddenly dropping from around 45% to 25%. Is it a software issue (ios 9.2.1) or is my battery dying?

You are not alone. I had the exact same problem with the iphone 6, starting about September 2017. Dramatic drops in power from 100% to 60% to 10% for no apparent reason. Went to the apple store and they now have a diagnostic they can run that confirms that the battery is officially "Consumed".Those are nice words that really mean: Apple Engineers specified a battery in the iPhone6 that doesn't last longer than 3 years and its up to the consumer who paid nearly $800 for the largest memory version of the phone to decide whether to pay $80 at the Apple store to have the battery replaced, take a risk with a 3rd party to replace the battery, or spend another $800-$1000 on a replacement phone. On top of that, they make you wait a couple hours at the store and don't even employ the technology to text you when its ready. The good news is that for the thousands of people having this problem -- its normal and expected and you don't have to waste time reinstalling the OS and all those time wasting activities. Its simply a fact that the Iphone 6 battery is not designed to last long and Apple fully knows this as their diagnostic tools now confirm it.

What if I leave my iPhone 8 in charging the whole night everyday? Will it affect battery life or phone’s performance in a long time.

Modern Day phones, like the Iphones,Samsungs,Or any other device, have a breaker in them which prevents the phone to get overcharged after it reaches 100% Battery, because of that your battery wont get affected,so, according to this theory ,Yes, You can keep your Iphone 8 on charge overnight, but i would suggest you to buy apples fast charger and get up in the morning and keep your phone on charge and within 40–45 minutes it should give you enough juice.

Why is my iPhone 5 losing battery so fast?

Sometimes when you go in large buildings you lose service - this drains your battery incredibly quickly. Try to also turn off cellular Data. Then try turning off bluetooth (that one drains battery very quickly as well). Also turn off Wifi. I suggest only using those three services when you really need them.

Sometimes a running app can drain battery. Double tap your home button and long press any app that appears until it starts wiggling (Like when you move apps on the home screen). A red circle with an "X" should appear. Go through and hit the "x" on all the apps that appear until there are no more apps left. Many people debate on how effective this is, but I've seen the statistics, it helps immensely (even on Droid phones)!

If battery life continues to be a problem, try restarting the phone (turn it completely off and then on by holding down the Sleep/Wake Button and sliding the "power off" button).

Switching to a Droid phone will not necessarily solve your battery life woes! (Although the Samsung Galaxy S III has a much better battery life than the iPhone).

And just so you know, Apple Technical Support suggests that you drain your iPhone battery until it turns off every single time before you put it on a charger. It will preserve the life of your battery - I've seen how effective it is first-hand.

IPhone 6 battery suddenly dying faster?

Quick background:
I have the iPhone 6 (not plus), Sprint, 128GB, black front, iOS 8.3.
I am very OCD about my battery percentage on my phone, I always have been. I'm in high school and my first hour is in a new building that had recently been built on campus and there's no signal ( I know bad signal kills battery). But, normally with my phone on airplane mode and grayscale, only listening to music for 40 min. and by the end of 1st period my phone would only be at 93% AT THE LOWEST.
As of last weekend however, my phone in 1st period (airplane, gray, NO music) without doing a single thing, goes down to 85%.
Dying quickly by the end of my 6hr school day.
Last night I went to bed at about 11pm with a battery of 41%, and I woke up at about 1am (2 hours later) and it was only at 80%. So, not only is it dying faster for no reason now, it's also not charging as fast as it used to. As well as going down in battery while in use on the charger.
Now, yes I have downloaded apps and whatnot, but I know it's not an app because it started over a weekend when I didn't do anything different. I have not changed my patterns of battery saving for 6 months in having this phone. Thank you for any help.

Why does the new feature "hey Siri" in iOS 8 work only when charging?

Turning on "Hey Siri" in Settings tells your iPhone to turn on the microphone and listen to everything when your phone is plugged into a power source. It has to listen to everything in order to determine when you (or someone) says "Hey Siri." This means it not only listens to everything, but it has to compare what is said to it's trigger phrase ("Hey Siri") to decide whether it should try to interpret the next thing said or not.So you are not only using power to keep the microphone on all the time, but also using extra CPU power to interpret what was said. All of that takes power, which would deplete your battery much quicker. So they don't allow it.

Why is my iPhone 8 Plus battery suddenly draining so fast? I bought it 2 months ago.

If you go to battery settings you can check out which program is draining your battery most.Have you downloaded new apps, some that might run in the background, maybe even just regularly checking your location?Have you restarted your phone yet?As a user of an iPhone X I have noticed a significant worsening in battery life when I moved to the iOS 11.3 beta. It hasn‘t gotten better since then (now iOS 11.4.1 beta 1).So I suspect it‘s either some background app(s) or just the operating system, in which case everyone would be affected who upgraded to iOS 11.3 or newer.
