De-activated Straight talk phone, PLEASE HELP!!?
ok, i need to activate my straight talk phone ASAP. I got a phone off craigslist, and went to wal mart and got me a unlimited talk, text internet card for $45 SO- i go online to activate my phone, and it says that the phones Serial number is being used with another account, but how can that be, WHEN I have the phone I bought from the people off craigslist, & the phone isn't activated? PLEASE help! idk what to do, and have no phone, and desperately need one thank u~
What is wrong with my straight talk phone?
Starting the morning of May 3rd, 2010 I tried to add money by using a charge card. It would not work. When I tried to call again I could not get thru and kept getting a circuit busy signal. I kept trying with no luck. It would either give me a circuit busy signal, say the circuits were busy or just cut me off. I later went to Walmart to purchase a refill card. I finally got thru calling but was on hold for over an hour and 15 minutes. I then tried to call on a land line and was able to refill my phone with the automated system. I used the prompts to activate everything and it still doesn't work. When I try to make any call it goes directly to a voice recording saying, welcome to Verizon. At Walmart I did ask if they knew what was up with their Straight Talk service, they had no idea and said they couldn't get thru to them either. I also can't use the website and so far have never been able to set up an account on it. I have had no issues with the service so far until today. You would think that the Straight Talk web site would be able to give us a clue as to what the problem is. Like some kind of update that said their service is down and maybe how long before they can take care of it. Right now I have a $45 card plus tax in limbo because they don't seem to be able to get their service up and running. Not Good.
Anyone have problems with Straight Talk deactivating your phone constantly?
Hi all! Not wanting to get back into a contract just yet, I decided to go with the Straight Talk deal. I knew that it's a 3rd party company that piggy-backs off Verizon, and that the service probably wouldn't be exactly award-winning, but shouldn't I at least have constant access when I have paid? Several times now, my phone has been deactivated. Each time, I have to wait on hold for quite some time, then go through the entire story yet again to have the service restored. Today my job tried contacted me for HOURS with a critical issue, and wound up having to call my emergency contacts, who wound up driving to my home (as they couldn't reach me either!). All because my phone was wrongly deactivated - again. After this event with my job today, I'm not sure I'll renew once this month is over. I'm anxious to hear about the experiences of others with this company. Thanks!

means is the system has not updated yet,it is still transferring your payment so do not cancel., just be patient, if your patients runs out please give them a call and see if they can speed it up or what the delay is. be warned, its not an enjoyable experiencing talking to the reps at straighttalk, from my experience they are hard to understand and get me frustrated quickly. My Straight Talk phone keeps saying "Welcome to Verizon Wireless"?
Okay so my phone has been deactivated for about 2 months. I'm trying to reactivate my phone by calling the number and all it says is "Welcome to Verizon Wireless". Its a full on prepaid phone, and it isn't working. HELP! I really need it activated or else i just wasted all my money for nothing!

vertical service codes do not always work with cell phones..but you would dial *67 to block outgoing caller ID on a per call basis.. there should be an option in the menu of your phone to either send your caller ID or hide your caller ID..
Why does my phone, send the people who call me straight to voicemail and my phone doesn't ring?
This happened to me for several years. At first I thought it was my iPhone. When I got a new iPhone, the problem remained. Moving from an iPhone to an Android did nothing to resolve the issue. As it turned out, my carrier, Verizon, had three cell towers covering my home so I guess there was a tug of war going on between all that equipment. Over those years, most of my calls went straight to voicemail. I contacted Verizon many times to see if they could correct the problem but everything they tried was of no help. I finally changed to T-Mobile and my phone started ringing. Problem solved.
