Anyone Selling A Verizon Iphone

Why cant apple sell the iphone with Verizon? Anyone have any idea...I just really don't want to switch to at&t

IPHONE & WHY IT SELLS ONLY WITH AT&T:
Well the manufacturer of the iphone (Apple) signed an EXCLUSIVE contract with AT&T/Cingular Wireless, so that they are the only U.S. Carrier that is allowed to sell them for now. AT&T Wireless paid for this exclusivity agreement, so they could sign more customers up for 2 year contracts.

Cell phone signals are broadcast in different types of signals. Unfortunately (for us in the U.S) they made the iphone so that it works on a GSM signal. GSM signal is picked up by the litle SIM CARD underneath the battery of the phone. The only big SIM CARD/GSM cell phone companies in the U.S. are T-Mobile and AT&T/Cingular. Of the two, AT&T/Cingular has more far-reaching service, so it was good that they won the contract.

The cool thing is, if you get one and it is unlocked, most of the other countries out there use GSM too. So you could go to Italy or wherever and buy a prepaid sim card, and plop it in - and it will work.

WHY YOU CANT USE IT WITH VZW:
Verizon Wireless uses CDMA signal, which does not use a SIM Card. So even if someone buys the iphone from AT&T/Cingular, and has it unlocked. ( That just means it will take any companies sim card) it still won't work for you on Verizon, because Verizon uses CDMA and the iphone wasn't built to pick up CDMA signal.

I bought the Voyager with verizon which is sorta similar, not as advanced as the iphone - but it's really the closest that Verizon comes to the iphone. Taking a picture takes a long time, and the web browser isnt as cool, and a lot of neat things the iphone has, it doesn't have at all. BUt it's still prob the coolest thing vzw has right now.

You would first need to make sure your iPhone is unlocked for international travel. If Verizon has been unhelpful in this regard, you can call Apple to find out. 1-800-MY-APPLE. Once you reach an advisor, you'll need to provide them with the Serial Number or IMEI of your phone. They will then be able to tell you what the Activation Profile is. If the phone IS unlocked, you can typically pick up a temporary SIM from the airport or once you arrive in your destination. If the place you are visiting is compatible with Verizon's network, however, you need only to have them enable international features. You can always disable data to avoid high roaming costs, and only use data features when connected to Wi-Fi.

Does/will Verizon sell the iPhone 4?

Um no. These rumors come around every year, and every year, no Verizon iPhone. They didnt want it when Apple came to them first back in 2006 and they dont want it now. Why would they, when any Android phone crushes the iDont any day of the week, and Android is already selling more phones than Apple anyways?? Plus, ATT knows that without the iPhone, they have nothing, so they will pay Apple as much as they want in order to keep it. Why would you ever want such a horrible phone?

You can’t. Not compatible unless you get a “universal” model

I really want an iPhone, but I'm on Verizon right now. I'm willing to switch. Should I stay or go?

First of all- here is a website that does a basic comparison between the Driod and the iPhone. it does not include the Xtreme or the iPhone 4, but it just gives a basic overview of both phone capabilities. The website kind of sucks because it's not up to date, such as under the Multitasking category- the iPhone now multitasks/etc.

Anyway- Verizon will not be getting the iPhone for quite some time. AT&T and Apple are really enjoying the exclusivity of their little contract they have together. However, the contract between the two is said to expire this Summer, and they may continue to reinstate that same contract, or they may start giving other carriers like Verizon the option to carry the iPhone. Either way it won't happen for many years. If you want the iPhone now, go ahead and switch to AT&T. They're service is not bad at all, I've been with them for quite some time. And in all actuality, it's not like they'll stop making the iPhone anytime soon- it's only going to go up- so you really can't go wrong. Say 2 years from now Verizon has the iPhone (which is somewhat possible)- you'll be able to switch. No harm done, just do what you want to do and take into consideration how much everything costs

Iphone smarthphones from VERIZON?

Hello i want to buy an iphone from verizon. I know the 4s came out but all i want is the iphone 4. Is it possible to use your friends old iphone that they dont want anymore, and do they *228 thing and then change numbers? For instance, your friend's number is 123-456-7890 and they dont want their iphone anymore. Can you take their iphone and then do the *228 and then change that number to your number? And if you can change the iphone to your own number, will your previous phone be disabled? I'm doing this because I dont need the data plan. Don't say the iphone is useless without it because I dont need it. All i want is my calling and texting plan with the free wi - fi that is available. Is that possible anyone? If your friend has a iphone that is already unlocked?

Should I buy the sprint or verizon iphone?

I would steer you away from the iphones

4s because it has battery drainage problems:

Even Steve Wozniak, co-founder of apple says the same thing and that siri is glitchy:

And this is an Apple Legend saying this so you know it has to be bad.

In fact, Siri is so bad there is a class action lawsuit brought against Apple for it not working anywhere near as well as it was advertised.

the iphone 4 drops calls and is not recommended by Consumer Reports:

With android, you get more free apps. For example angry birds is free with android whereas you have to buy it with apple, or use their "free" version which has a big ad blocking part of the screen getting in the way of gameplay.

Furthermore, with iphone you do not get Adobe Flash which is required to view videos on many websites, it is a common complaint among iphone users. Plus you cannot expand memory with iphone if you run out of space but with android you just add a card up to 32gb and you're good to go.

Android phones are usually superior in technical specs, faster and more customizable. It is the smarter choice, that is why it leads the global market in smartphones today even with apple selling a lot of their iphones cheap or free.

And despite the Woz saying iphones are easier to use, ANYONE can use android, he had to say SOMETHING nice about apple lol.

Should I buy an iPhone 4 or switch to Verizon?

I have a bunch of different questions here so hopefully somebody can answer them all!

**ABOUT AT&T**
I was going to get an iPhone 4 and stay on AT&T for 2 more years, but every review I read about the phone said a con was being on AT&T. I have never had signal problems with AT&T (I don't go out of town a lot), but now I'm thinking that the bad antenna + the AT&T network (apparently if it is bad other than the big cites) could be big trouble. However, I don't talk on the phone that much (just surf the web and text), so would the antenna issue apply to me?
Should I get an Android phone on AT&T instead of the iPhone?
Are any new Android phones coming to AT&T soon?

**ABOUT VERIZON**
Is Verizon's 3G coverage slow?
What phone (preferably Android) should I get if I went to Verizon?
Is Verizon going to get a 2GB data plan soon?

iPhones lose value very quickly . The best way to sell an iPhone to buy a newer model is to sell your old phone at least 4 weeks before new launch. So since you didn't do that. , You won't get much value. Assuming you're in India , iPhone X costs 80k .So if you have an iPhone 7 32Gb - you can get around 30–32k for it depending on condition . Value lowers by 7k for 6S and 6 is sold for about 15k . So it's not great as you see. You will need 50k more minimum even after selling your old phone .Now , how to sell ?First of all , OLX and quicker. Spend 100/- for premium AD and list you phone for 2–3k higher than expected price. Then there is Amazon , then a lot of small sites for selling . Not a lot of options .
