Apps For An Andriod No Service

How to Kill Apps in Android?

I hoped someone would know this. I just got an Android Phone (LG Optimus) which is quickly becoming my favorite toy. I love Pandora, the Internet music streaming service. But when I run it, I find there's no way to turn it off! I can go 'home' and run another app, make a phone call, use the web browser, or whatever, but Pandora remains on, and playing, in the background. There's no 'Off' button, or even a 'Help' button.

I have the same problem with MP3 playing apps. One music app will replace another, but they all just play and play.

I know there's some really simple, obvious answer to this and I'll feel stupid when I find out. So here's your chance to make me feel stupid! 8^) Anyone know what to do?

Is there any way to track an Android device without Internet via GPS?

Does a GPS sensor of Android devices work without internet connections?Any GPS receiver (including the receiver in any smartphone) does its job using only the data it receives via radio from the GPS satellites. This data enables it to determine the distances to at least four of the GPS satellites, and from that it can determine your position. That’s all GPS does: determine your position. Your GPS receiver doesn’t need the Internet to do this. However, just knowing your longitude and latitude is probably not what you’re after. If you want to do anything other than just display your longitude and latitude, you need more than just GPS — you need some software and a lot of additional data.If you use a program such as Google Maps, you have to have Internet access. When Google Maps displays your position on a map, calculates a route, or displays nearby traffic, it’s using the Internet to download maps, perform calculations, and retrieve traffic data from Google’s servers. The are lesser-known smartphone apps, such as Copilot, which download ahead of time all the maps for a given area (in the U.S., typically a region, such as the southeast states) so that they don’t need an Internet connection to work. Such apps are ideal for users who don’t have a plan that allows them to use a lot of mobile data.Stand-alone GPS units, such as those made by Garmin and Magellan, usually come with maps for a country pre-loaded, and again, no Internet connection is necessary. But regardless of the hardware and software you use, it all starts with a GPS receiver that determines your position using only the data it receives from satellites, no Internet required.

No application download records are shown on the bill. Not even paid ones, as they are paid with a credit card and not through Verizon.

Android app development with eclipse, "is an invalid name on this platform." no matter what?

I am trying to develop an android app using Eclipse IDE for Java Developers. I'm on Helios Service Release 2. I have installed the Android ADT plugin. When I go to File>New>Other>Android>Android Application Project, I am prompted to put an application name. When I put anything it says "Enter an application name (shown in launcher)" but when there is a single space anywhere it says "is an invalid name on this platform." So what am I supposed to do? Should I download Eclipse 4.2, or am I just doing something wrong?
