I ate 1700 calories today, is that okay?

A few extra calories will do you no harm once in awhile. I can't say exactly what your recommended calorie intake is as that depends on your height, weight and activity level. The average woman needs approximately 2000 so you shouldn't worry at all. In fact if you eat too few calories you can make weight gain more likely long term. This is because your body will go into starvation mode and will try and reserve energy by decreasing your metabolism and you will also lose muscle as your body will use this for fuel rather than use it's fat reserves. So don't worry about having that many calories, you need calories to function and to keep a high metabolism and be slim long term. If you exercise that much and usually only eat 1000 - 1200 calories a day that sounds too little unless you are extremely small, like under 5 ft or on a diet to lose weight. And if your on a diet I'd say that is still too little to be consuming given your exercise level.

In the long term, anything you eat in one day is completely irrelevant.Almost everything you eat has calories. Even celery does, so anything you eat causes you to "gain calories".If you eat 4 slices of pizza in a day, that could be a rather highly variable amount of food!  4 small slices of NY style pizza is not going to be the same as 4 big slices of deep dish pizza.  As I said above, what you eat in one day isn't important at all.Let's pretend that you're eating pizza that has 350 calories per slice, and are simply eating 4 slices instead of 2 as a meal in this one day, and that the rest of your day you ate normally - in a manner that would cause you to neither lose nor gain weight.The excess caloric intake of the extra slices of pizza would be 700. Overeating by 700 calories per day every day is a bad, bad idea - you would gain over 1lb per week. But for that one day, you would gain .2lbs.  Your weight can vary by 5+lbs over the course of the day. 4 slices in one sitting? It's a minor splurge. Totally fine to have every once in a while. Not a good idea to eat on a regular basis.

If I consume 1,700 calories a day, then do I have to burn off more than 1,700 calories a day to lose weight?

Hey Jeremy,Great question!In order for your body to lose weight each week, you will of course have to make a calorie deficit. Now, your body needs some of those calories each day for normal function, walking, talking, thinking, digesting all that good stuff.Your resting metabolic rate is what it means your body uses while at rest without you doing anything in your day. Say if your resting metabolic rate was 1600 then anything you eat over and above that is for your body to determine what to do with it…..store as fat….use for exercise that is above just sitting all day.My mim for men to eat is 1600 calories per day and 1200 for women. If men eat lower than this, they get into dieting territory and your body may eat some of your muscle tissue for food.If you are exercising you need to add in how many calories you burn to keep your weight maintained. 4 bowls of cereal will make me get fat.......????? How many calories did I eat today so far?

Ok so this mornin when i woke up i ate 2 Bowls of Fibre 1 cereal.
Then a fruit Salad.
5 peices of celary.
Then 2 more bwols of Kellogs French Vanilla dieting cereal of sumthing like that.

Now i no milk isent good for you and its very fatning but if i just have alot of it this nce will it make a difference?

And how many calories should i be eating a day?
Can soeone help me ?? Can someone do the BMR THING FOR me??

Alright 3500 calories ascribe to 1 pound. So to increase one kg u will need to devour 7000 calories.But your body also needs total calories to function.But its better not to put on weight all of a sudden.Anyways take a stab at eating loads of ghee desserts and dozing hours.But additionally be cautious abt ur sugar level.All the best.

How much weight will I gain eating 100-300 extra calories per day?

If your current intake barely meets your BMR then you are aren't eating nearly enough. The Basal Metabolic Rate is theoretically what you require if you're in a coma and doing nothing. Calories above that are not "extra". If you're doing any kind of exercise you need a lot more food than that.Weight gain due to fat is a matter of calorie balance. If you get 100-300 genuinely extra calories per day then you'll gradually gain weight. How much is impossible to say because you don't specify how long this will go on.Note that working out can add muscle which makes you weigh more and also require more food.You should probably relax and forget numbers. You aren't going to be able to get an accurate count of your calories to a tolerance of 100 calories/day anyway. The error bars are way bigger than that.

The men lived in horror there might be human flesh in the soup as the NAZIs stooped to any sort of despicable low behavior. One NAZI officer attached as an architect to the construction project walked through the slave labor camp every day and dropped a bit of food by my husband. Both would have been shot if caught. He saved my husbamd’s life. So I honor him here, mentioning this righteous NAZI who was a man, when his fellow NAZIs were not. My husband said all they thought about was food. Oddly, the NAZIS gave the Red Cross allotment of cigarettes to the slave laborers. Since he didn’t smoke he traded cigarettes for bits of food. One time the NAZIs set up an adjacent camp and penned some British flyers in it. They were fed adequately but sparsely. One of them passed an egg through the fence to my husband. My husband said, ‘A whole egg! Nothing ever tasted better…’ My husband weighed 78 pounds when the allies broke through, liberating him. He was sent to a military hospital where, I quote, ‘ I found myself in a clean bed with real clean sheets! The medical people transfused me with their own blood. I could not believe it…’. Because he was starved so long, he never grew taller than a 12 year old.

How many calories??/how can i burn it off?

Well it depends on the flavor of poptarts, I will leave a list of some common flavors. Umm, it also depends on how much spaghetti, and how much sugar or honey you put in your tea.
Also, push ups, sit ups, and squats don't really burn off a a lot of calories, you should try walking, jogging, dancing, or other aerobic exercises. Ill leave a list of some exercises too.

Chocolate fudge- 800
Chocolate chip cookie dough- 760
Frosted s'mores- 800

Ok so most of them are around 800 calories, also you can check the box and it will say how many calories.

Spaghetti:
2 cups of noodles- 200 calories
1/2 cup of Marinera sauce- 90 calories

Apples are from approximately 60 - 95 calories

Sugar (for tea):
16 calories per teaspoon

Honey:
16 calories per teaspoon

The tea bag is 0 calories
