Why are my 2 week old betta fry dying?
I have just gotten back into breeding bettas after moving from California to Washington. I bred a gorgeous orange betta pair together, no problems. The courtship went well, with about 150 fry hatching. The fry were fed a variety of live worms from various cultures I have. Microworms, vinegar eels and bbs being the main part of their diet. They grew rapidly and did very well with only two dead fry in the two week period, until about three days ago when I had sudden, rapid loss of fry. The water is dyed with indian almond leaves, I have a sponge filter, the tank is covered, and I'm careful to keep the tank clear of debris. Water is 82 degrees. I'm sure it's something silly that I'm missing, but I would like to know before I lose more fry. Thank you for your help.
