Are Home Made Scarves Popular

How do I start a scarf business?

Radhika has given a very good answer and I wouldn't need to add anything. Except I am in the process of starting myself a scarf business, I have been doing all the preparation work for a year now and will launch this summer, in July 2016.  So it is my duty to add my input here.Since she provided a comprehensive list of what to do, I will a few what NOT to do to her list.I have been living in India and other countries in Asia for 2 years now, so I got to know the underside of the scarf world production and marketing. 1- DO NOT do your market study while abroad.  Do it in person, from your home country. If you are abroad you will be tempted to start buying. I based too many of my first purchases on impulsion, and on what tourists and locals want. Afterwards I realized that travelling back and forth to my country do to a decent market study would have been cheaper.2- DO NOT believe anybody. Search, and search again. Ask questions, and more questions. Be annoying. Don't even listen to other foreign traders you meet in the local market places. They are also often led to believe they are buying handmade items and or genuine pashmina cashmere. Finding the true thing is difficult. But possible.3- DO NOT buy so many  scarves at first. Wholesale in the artisanal industry, means often buying 3 or more. Maybe 10. But not hundreds or thousands.  Remember, they want to deal with you. You have the negotiation power. So tell them you want samples only.5- DO NOT believe their claims to wholesalers. In small scale manufacturers and handmade distributors, there is no such thing as wholesales. Many layers of middlemen gets the products out there. And if the item is from a cottage industry, as the Kashmiri pashmina, finding the coordinator or source distributor is also tricky and requires good research and contacts. You can read more about my experience in my blog, where I write about scarves and my field research on setting up this business.

How much should I charge for a no sew fleece blanket?

I have been making no sew fleece blankets and decided that I want to sell them. I also make fleece scarves and sell them too. I was wondering what an appropriate amount would be to sell them at. They are very nice patterns and local team colors. They are also very big and warm. Any suggestions are appreciated. I'm thinking maybe $20-$25.

Would wearing a country flag to an anime convention be weird?

Is it a Norwegian flag shirt or the actual flag? Because wearing/displaying the flag any other way than hung up/on a flag pole is very disrespectful to that country. Each country has a flag code which describes how they should be properly displayed and disposed of. Usually this mistake is made by Hetalia newbies/weeaboos and is looked down upon more prolific cosplayers.
I'd go with wearing the MLP shirt or finding a flag shirt.
