Are Liberals For More Gun Laws Or Banning Guns All Together

Do liberals want to ban guns? As a pro gun liberal, should I vote republican or libertarian?

At the end of the day, it comes down to a personal choice. Do you value your right to own firearms more so than whatever platforms cause you to lean left. IF you do value it more so, then vote libertarian or republican. If you value your other principles more, then vote democratic. But don’t have any qualms about it, they want to ban guns. Maybe not all guns, butSemi automatic rifles with detachable magazines (MA)Non “smart” handguns (NJ)Revolving cylinder-ed shotguns (CA)Semi-automatic rifles in general (MA, kind of. They have to look scary)Anything capable of accepting more than ten rounds (CA, minus tube fed .22’s, don’t tell them we found a loophole)All firearms that are unique/weird. Taurus’ judge pistol falls into this category (CA)Anything full auto (CA)Anything that’s too big, this is why Barrett refuses to sell guns to CA now. (CA)Anything that has the capability of being painted black (okay I’m being facetious) (USSR)So yea, you can probably own your grandpa’s deer rifle (if its a bolt action), and you can still own your 870 pump shotgun, but they also want things likeThe elimination of fourth amendment rights of certain types of gun owners, which protects you from warrant-less searches and seizures. (CA)Making common gun owners criminals. In CA, I can’t buy .22lr ammo for my legally purchased .22 because I’m under 21. So I’m stuck with making my dad buy it and give it to me, which is legally questionable, going out of state and buying it, which is illegal, or not shooting it.Long background checks/waiting periods to buy, transfer or borrow a gun (Yea, it’s illegal for my brother to borrow my single shot shotgun in CA. Yes, its that stupid) (CA)Mandated registration of “dangerous” guns, including handguns (CA)You’re going to have a bunch of people in this comment section trying to sell you on which party to vote for. There’s going to be a lot of leftists claiming that they don’t want more gun control or its only fringe elements of the party. That’s absolute Bullsh*t. Everything I’ve listed above are laws enacted in various states that had significant liberal support. Almost every one of them came out of California, because I know its laws best. These same laws appear across the country. If anybody wants any data on particular gun laws, feel free to comment or go hit google. Its dense reading.

Where do liberals get their stats on gun laws?

Obama said that 40% of all gun sales have no background check ... I have 3 guns, all from my grandfather ... no background check. Did Obama forget to mention that most of that stat he mentioned factors in the type of "transaction" I just mentioned ?
Over 99.7% of legal gun owners never break any gun related laws.

Liberals : Since you wanna ban guns?

I think you are spouting bullshit. Do you have anything to prove your points or do you expect people to just believe you. What you say about Brazil can't be true.

America’s gun-related murder rate is the highest in the developed world, excluding Mexico, where the ongoing drug war pushes the murder stats way up. The question of what causes the U.S. firearm-related homicide rate is a complicated one involving many variables, but it certainly seems plausible, especially the day after a knife attack in China injured 22 children but killed none, that one of those variables would be access to firearms. And, in this regard, America is truly exceptional.

Link shows gun ownership and firearm murder rate. This poster is a contard liar.

Why do liberals want to ban guns, but not knives or baseball bats?

I don't want to ban them.

Sorry for screwing up your pre-conceived notions.

Liberals: Are you ready for violent Civil War if gun bans start passing?

Chances are, a civil war would be between Americans who support the Constitution and the 2nd Amendment and the Obama government. Interesting enough, the Commandant of the Marine Corps when asked if he would support the government in the event of a stand off such as this is reported to have said, He would support the Constitution. H'mmmmmm !

Rumor has it that military officers are being dismissed if they answer in the negative when asked: will you shoot citizens that oppose the government of the US. Marine general Mattis was dismissed from central command, some allege for this very reason, that he responded in the negative when asked if he would fire upon fellow Americans.

It could be we are living amongst a dangerous American government, dangerous to its own people. Guns in the hands of citizens is the only obstacle facing the government if it decides to enforce gun control for all Americans. Buying up all available ammunition appears to be a tactic of the federal government, which means the underground supply will likely kick in. Protecting the Constitution is every citizens right, and an administration that turns against these citizens (a government of, by, and for the people) will be deemed a rogue government.
