Are Lions Browns The 2 Most Sorry Franchises Today With No Hope Of Ever

If the Cleveland Browns continue to be consistently very bad (2-14 or worse), will the NFL eventually replace them?

No. The previous incarnation of the Cleveland Browns moved to Baltimore and are now the Ravens. This loss, about 12 years ago? was tragic for Cleveland. Officially, the Browns never left Cleveland because the NFL would not allow the now Ravens (named after the Edgar Allan Poe poem “The Raven”) to move to Baltimore with the logo and mascot name of the Browns (named after a late owner of the Browns). The NFL, essentially, then placed an expansion franchise in Cleveland, Ever since then, the Browns have stunk- they just stink worse than usual the last couple of years. But the NFL had to get a new owner, administration and stocked roster in Cleveland- all from scratch. In effect, Cleveland has never been able to over come the move of the original Browns to Baltimore (Baltimore once lost the Colts to Indianapolis, by the way.) The NFL is very sympathetic to the tragic plight of Cleveland’s football team. If you know anything about Cleveland fans, they are some of the most amazing and loyal fans in the NFL (look up Dawg Pound), and I am sure the NFL is sympathetic to that too. Too me, it seems very sad that they have to go through this (wow, now I’m not so upset about the Chiefs’ recent playoff losses- and the decrepit play calling in the last one…), and, I, for one, also empathize for the Browns’ fans. On the upside, most of the Browns’ games were close lost year- only four losses by ten or more and one of twenty or more. They just cannot seem to win the close ones- yet. By contrast, even though the Broncos won a few games, they lost 8 games by 20 or more. The Browns MAY be better off then the Broncos…

What are the top 5 teams you respect the LEAST?

1. This might shock you because I'm a Raiders fan but I would have to say the Raiders.

Fans - can't disagree with what others are saying although its gotten much better at the Coliseum in the last few years. Most of the bad 'fans' are people we picked up during the L.A years. They're young punks and thugs who probably haven't ever heard of Kenny Stabler or Fred Bilentnikoff.

Front office - most Raiders fan had real issues with 'Lord Al'' in the last 10 years. Plus the secretive way they ran things made us all sick.

There is hope finally because Al is gone (God rest his soul) and the front office has made real strides in curbing the thug behavior at games in the last few seasons so there may come a day when the whole football world won't continue to think we're all criminals.

What are your top five favorite NFL teams?

I'm a colts fan and some of my answers might surprise you!

1. Eagles: They don't play us much so there is no rivalry. I also feel sorry for McNabb because no one seems to like him, but I think he's one of the best ever to play. The no SB isn't his fault, he's gotten his team to the NFC championship waaay too many times, his team should try to.. you know.. HELP.

2. Ravens: Not a rivalry, but they hate the colts for leaving one cold, winter night. I love the defensive mentality and the new QB only makes me love them more. When they play us, though, I want to see them crushed and destroyed.

3. Giants: Another Manning on this team, but I don't care for them much. The only time I actually wanted these guys to win was the Superbowl against the Patriots, it was the second best football moment in my life. The best was when Marlin Jackson picked off Brady in the 06 championship game.

4. Cardinals: I like these guys because of where they have come from to get to the top. And Larry Fitzgerald is a beast. Boldin deserves more respect, he's a veteran and he plays like a 25 year old, I hope to see the two of them teaming up with Breaston again to tear up defenses everywhere, except for ours.

5. Chargers: I'm on and off. I love Tomlinson more than any back in the NFL. Adrian Peterson is closing in, but LT is my favorite, he's one of the greatest ever and after one "bad" season everyone hates him. Colts fans would do anything to have their "bad" runningback who rushed for only 1110 yards. Addai and Rhodes together rushed for that much! The only problem with them is that twice they have beat us in the playoffs, two seasons that the ring should have been ours! Especially this season, because we had beat literally every other team in the playoffs! Just not Miami. And the fans seem to hate us.. I don't know why
