How did Flipkart fool people on the "Big Billion Day" sale?

I purchased two Moto X Play (32 GB) phones from Flipkart on October 15th, 2015 (Big Billion Days Offer). A few of my friends too purchased the same phone within an hour of me purchasing it.The phone had the following offers ₹1500 off (by flipkart)Airtel 4G SIM CardCashbacks from Citi Bank, YES Bank and others. And the usual exchange offer (which is irrelavant here)I received my phones on October 18th, 2015. Upon opening my one Flipkart parcel, I found the Airtel 4G SIM Card missing while the other parcel contained the SIM card. Although the SIM card is available for free from Airtel's website, I decided to know why I did not receive it.I mailed Flipkart in which I asked them why I had not received the SIM card, for which they replied as :Later I told them that a few of my friends had placed an order for the same phone and asked them why they received it , for which i got the following reply:And then when i asked them how they expected me to take a snapshot of the offer page, they replied as :Then i got this reply, which is the cheapest lie - Flipkart denying the offer :Then I relentlessly asked them why the sim card shipped for similar orders, for which the 'reason' was:While i pondered over what "Your kind understanding is requested" meant, I sent another mail, for which I again got the same reply And by this time, I am utterly frustrated for trying to know why i did not get my sim card and most importantly for choosing Flipkart. Although the SIM card is available for free (as i mentioned earlier), a simple apology from flipkart would have solved the issue. Instead flipkart's customer service team has blatantly denied the offer.I vow to never use Flipkart again !!

What happens if we reject COD (Cash on Delivery) orders from e-Commerce websites?

Cancellation experienceI had a friend of mine staying in goa...He had a curiousity of what would online portals do if there is consistent cancellation of cod orders...He started experimenting it...He ordered iphones, xbox, playstations etc on a regular interval of a week from same online site.Till he cancelled 4 products..it was okNext product...i.e 5th product he ordered was a cellphone of 13k...He got a phone call from the local delivery boy whether he wants it or not...Obivously local area delivery men had noticed his mischief...My friend said that he wanted it...when delivery was attempted at his house he asked his mother to refuse it....Now i think local delivery office would have made a complaint about him or company itself would have noticed it.But henceforth his account was blacklisted....many products were not displayed by his account...and he had no cod method available...This is what atlast can happen!!!!But not to worry he has logged in with another email id...He might try it with other online portal...iif he is still curious!!☺

The discounts given on e-commerce site (amazon, flipkart) are real or just a trickery?

Let me tell you this short storyI have been tracking a product. I wanted to purchase it and it costed approx. Rs 2500 at that moment.I accidentally stumbled upon a comment testifying the purchase of same product from same site at Rs. 2100.So are discounts real? Apparently yes.Hence i decided to wait for price to fall or a lightening deal, as they say. I took screenshot of the product. Price had shot up by that time. But what i found today was jaw dropping..Discount was raised but final price is same. How?They manipulated the actual MRP.Hahaha…..Actually, buyers don't pay heed to MRP, they look for discount. Human psychology… :)Next time, stay careful…
