I am torn between these two: cost-benefit analysis determining point of diminishing returns Question 5 "Which technology is used to deal with yard waste?" waste-to-energy combustion composting landfill ... depending on the municipality, all three are performed. They probably want something like "composting". Question 6 "What is a greenhouse gas?" a gas that absorbs and re-releases heat radiated by the earth Question 7 "Ozone found in the stratosphere is _helpful_ to human health, while ozone in the troposphere (where we live) is _harmful_ ." helpful, harmful Question 8 "Which of the following contributes to global warming?" tropospheric ozone greenhouse gases ozone hole All three actually. Ozone is a greenhouse gas, so "tropospheric ozone" contributes to localized heating. The [size of the] ozone hole is synonymous with ozone depletion, and ozone depletion delivers more energy to soil and water, where it must be converted to heat. They probably just want "greenhouse gases".
