Are There Any Shortcuts For Learning Spanish Or Is It Just All Repetition And Hard Work

Why learning guitar solo is so hard for me?

I have learn guitar for like 8 months. I can pretty much play most of the chords now. Except a little difficulty on bar code. I cant play the guitar just by listening the rythm of the song.

Now i have a problem to advance myself to the next level, such as guitar solo part/finger picking, songs like dust in the wind and greensleeves still seems so hard for me on my acoustic guitar.

What i can do is just strumming, also my strumming pattern is not very creative, kind of using same pattern most of the time.

Could that because i dont read music and that is the reason why i cant learn as fast as others, do you think learn guitar blindly is fine, by just remember the chords? What should i do to adjust myself.

I really hope someday i can play canon in D, tears in heaven, stairway to heaven, and hotel california with my acoustic guitar.

Please advice, your advice will be appreciated !!

What is your ideal method of learning a new language?

It depends on what your goal is and how long you have. 1. For fluency and speed, submersion in the culture is best. However, I would still use flashcards with colloquial words, phrases and sentences on them. You will need to write out all words, phrases and sentences you are learning. 2. Failing that, learning vocabulary and studying it every day and then reading blogs and newspapers in that language online,  while taking note of the words you don't know and learning those, will help you get more fluent faster. Note that the writing out part, still applies here too. Note: If your long term goal is true fluency, it would require being able to pick up any textbook, and with the aid of its' glossary, you'd still be able to read it without too much difficulty. This is where the flashcard method can be invaluable. Writing: If you write the Foreign Language bit on one card, and the answer on another card, you can then play memory with the cards and try to match them. You can then use the master list of vocabulary to know if  you are right or not. 3. Getting a beginner's book with CD and DVD helps when you can't learn from a native speaker. The DVD might help you learn pronunciation if they filmed it right. Personally, I think a speech therapist who speaks the language you want to learn, is key here, but rarely available. This sometimes is less boring for the beginner, but still can seem to be over-whelming. It helps to write out the lesson vocabulary long hand, and to try to write the dialogue responses for one character while reading the other character's dialogue in the book.

Is cheating in school wrong?

There is no clear answer to this question, though cheating is morally wrong there are situations which it may be acceptable. An example of why not to cheat is I cheated through every Spanish I took in High School and got A's in them but when I got to college, I'd have to start all over at the beginning level that doesn't count toward a minor or degree because I don't know any Spanish. An example of when I see cheating fit is say you are going through some rough times, say your girlfriend/boyfriend left you, there is a problem at your job and you just don't have much time and your teacher assigns a tedious and repetitive homework assignment that you understand after the first 4 questions. And graduate schools heavily look on your GPA so there is no point in ruining your future for having the "I didn't cheat and that's all that matters" but you have to learn from your classes or otherwise getting into graduate school won't matter.

Summed up, cheating/getting help from a friend should be used in moderation
