What are some jobs for a 15 year old?

Some that come to mind:  Do a twist on babysitting by being a "kid escort":  Some parents would like to have their kids go to the local park, on a neighborhood bike ride, to play in the schoolyard, even to church, but aren't sure their kids are quite old enough to go alone.  Of course, you'll be walking or bike riding, not driving.  You could make sure they get back and forth safely, and hang out on the fringes to make sure they don't misbehave or get into trouble.  You'll need to make sure you know what the parents want and don't want their kids to be doing.Another concierge service could focus on senior citizens.  Many people would be glad to have a visitor look in on them for a few minutes every day, or to have someone look in on their parents.  There's a kid in our neighborhood who takes out the trash and brings in  the cans for elderly people.  He charges each house $10/month to come  twice a week and $2/can to scrub them out.  He gets their snow shoveling, weed pulling, window washing, and other jobs, too.Do you have talent?  Teach kids to sing or dance or play simple songs on a guitar, recorder or piano..  Design low-cost art projects to be done at your house or theirs, inside or out.  These can be especially good options when kids are stuck inside.Dog walking, tending, exercising,  especially in rain, snow and hot weather. If there's a good place for playing with a dog off leash in your area (or in your yard or a  neighbors' yard), lots of people might be willing to part with a few  dollars to have you exercise Fido.  If you're good at it, you can also  offer to teach them tricks and games.Tutoring in reading, writing, arithmetic, science, history or any other subject you're good at, being a "homework helper" or helping with projects might offer parents some welcome relief.  If you're good at sports, you could offer lessons one-on-one or a few kids at a time.  You can even teach chess or video games or computers to beginners.New babies generate a lot of laundry, and new mom's could use a hand.  Offer to do the washing/drying/folding at their house.  How do you get customers?  Look around your neighborhood, and see who could use some low-cost help.  Talk to people who go to your church/synagogue/temple about the business you're starting.  Ask your teachers to write recommendations about your character. Ask your parents for their input on your pricing, hours of operation, what they're comfortable having you doing.

The World of Young Workers

Ages 14 and 15

They can also bag and carry out customers' orders. They can do errand and delivery work by foot, bicycle or public transportation. Clearly, errand and delivery work by motor vehicle would not be permitted. They can perform clean-up work and grounds maintenance and use a vacuum cleaner or floor waxer in their duties, but not a power-driven mower or cutter. This last prohibition on operating lawn and other types of mowers and hedge and other types of grounds maintenance cutters frequently arises in municipal youth employment program placements. The rule is clear. Under federal law, this equipment cannot be used lawfully until the worker is 16 years old, and only in connection with employment at a retail, food service, or gasoline service establishment. Also, some states restrict the use of power mowers and cutters even further, not permitting their use by youngsters until they turn 18.

With some exceptions, kitchen work and other work involved in food and beverage preparation and service are permitted for 14- and 15-year-olds, including the operation of machines and devices used for such work, such as dishwashers, dumbwaiters, toasters, popcorn poppers, milk shake blenders and coffee grinders. Cooking and baking, however, are not permitted.

Certain restrictions concerning cooking and baking and food preparation are so commonly involved in young peoples' work and so detailed that a separate discussion of their actual meaning is required. Although there is a ban on 14- and 15-year-olds working as cooks and bakers, in fact this restriction does not include those types of cooking and baking usually performed in fast food establishments. This is because this prohibition does not apply to cooking and baking at "soda fountains, lunch counters, snack bars or cafeteria serving counters," which were the fast-food establishments of the 1940s when these prohibitions were written. The U.S. Department of Labor has applied this exception to the ban on cooking and baking to fast food establishments, ruling that one of the crucial elements of a worksite that must be present to come within this exception and thereby permit such activity, is that the cooking and baking must be able to be seen from the front service counter.....read more here:

Summer jobs for a 14 year old in the Philippines?

its not yet legal for you to work with ur age, but u can check on ur barangay as some oferrs summer job for kids ...

How and should I get a job at 14 years old?

I think it's a great idea. Any kind of job that a kid can get, make money, learn responsibility, and how to keep the job, is a great primer for what's coming up in a few short years. When I was 14, I had a paper route. The only legal jobs that I could get at 14 was farm work. I picked tobacco for a Summer, and 33 years later, that was still my hardest job.Since I wasn't a big fan of that work, I went around town looking for an under the table job That I could get. A restaurant owner hired me as a dishwasher and paid me cash off the books.I loved the fact that I always had cash in my pocket, I could set goals with saving my money for big things, and it all set me up with a solid work ethic for when I hit the labor force full time.Any kind of job you can get and keep at 14 is worthwhile and will help you grow. What's also really great is if you can figure out how to be entrepreneurial and make money with a service you provide, or buy and sell stuff that you can make a nice profit on.There's lots of lessons about life in all of it, and I definitely encourage any and all of it for a 14 year old.Just make sure you keep your studies up at the same time.
