Are There Are Simulators For Manual Car Driving

Semi-Realistic Driving Simulator?

I'm looking for a semi-realistic NON-RACING driving simulator, preferably with both automatic and manual transmissions.

I've always enjoyed being behind a wheel, but I'd like to ease myself back into driving and not hop behind the wheel right away.

I'm not expecting full realism and I know that with manual shifting a simulator/game can't do much, but I'd really appreciate any links. No hardware links needed, I found a great Logitech system.

Is there a driving simulator like the one in big bang theory?

in one of the episodes in season 2, sheldon tries to learn how to drive and howard lets sheldon try out his driving simulator. now is that real and what is the name of it and can you download it and from where.

What are some good mouse controlled pc car driving simulators?

As far as casual, "non-racing" driving games, there aren't a lot to choose from. The options in your question details are probably the best options you have.I'm going to guess the reason is that there is no market for such a game. People who want a true simulation are generally not going to want mouse only controls. And just driving around in traffic is not what most people want out of a driving simulator either. You might try one of the Grand Theft Auto games for PC. You don't have to do anything except drive around town if you don't want to. You can map steering, brakes, and gas to the mouse. You can also drop your own playlist in the radio and play your own driving music. Stop at stop lights, avoid breaking the law around police, stay within your lanes, and all of the other mundane driving activities you might want are in there. Plus, if you get bored of that, there is the whole rest of the game to keep you occupied.

While the Euro Truck Simulator is a great Simulator, it mostly works with trucks.A couple of screenshots from Euro Truck Simulator 2Sure, cars can be modded in and this simulator helps familiarise the sim (you) with the basics of traffic rules (Speeding, lights and lane discipline) along with a feel for vehicles, it is not what you want for a car simulation. Especially to learn driving.Try looking into GT series (especially the Gran Turismo 4,5 & 6), voted the most authentic racing Simulator in the world.Gran Turismo 4. The best racing Simulator to date. This is the simulator many race car drivers stand by. And for a good reason.A screenshot from Gram Turismo 6The ultra realistic handling engine along with responses to the change in surfaces and gradients, Not to mention the effects of in-game weather on the driving dynamics. The in-game effects on Driving as simulated in Gran Turismo 5.This helps you learn about the way a car would react to different inputs. This is a PlayStation exclusive title though. However, if getting acquainted with the traffic rules is what you are looking for, the city driving simulator will do the job just fine. The City Driving Simulator with reasonably rendered vehicles and interiors. But with all that being said, the above mentioned are not the replacements of a proper driver's ed(ucation). Those just (passively) aid the process of learning how to drive.Hope this helps.

How to drive manual in arcade games?

Take it you've never driven a car, or a stick shift. 1-4 are the GEARS. You shift gears in a manual, in an automatic it does it for you(hence the names).

Is there any easy way to learn a driver's manual?

I have AD/HD. And, it's not so terrible, except... i have trouble reading. Sometimes i will stare at a page for over ten minutes, reading it over and over but not absorbing any of the information. This varies depending on what I'm reading. For instance, I couldn't read Twilight, I had to listen to the audio books (I'm an audio-visual learner)... I had trouble studying for history... However I read the short first few books of the Cirque du Freak series in about a week, maybe two.

And now I'm trying to learn how to drive. I've got the driving part down, but i'll stare at the manual wishing that they had audio tapes of it somewhere, or videos. (I'm from the state of Massachusetts and am taking their driver's exam.)

Listen, I'm not dumb or anything. It's just hard for me to sit through some reading material.
And now my step-mom is really getting on my case, making me feel like a total loser for not having finished reading the DMV book we got a month ago. Because appearantly it was a breeze for her.

Between reading the manual and writing my college essay (Mid-Summer vacation - _ -") we've come to an "agreement" that I should have both done by this Sunday. I'm REALLY stressing out.

Any ideas?

(Please be nice, I'm not looking for trouble.)
