Are There Verses In The Quran Or Duas To Recite To Guide Our Family Members Who Are Not Muslims

Are there Verses in the Quran or Duas to recite to guide our family members who are not Muslims?

Ask God to guide them in your own language. Ask him with sincerity as much as you could. Don't rush to get an answer, you really never know when you prayers will be answered. Make Dua in the last third of the night, which is the last couple of hours before the Fajr prayer.

Abu Hurairah (RA) narrated that Allah’s Messenger (SAW) said: 'In the last third of every night our Rabb (Cherisher and Sustainer) (Allah (SWT)) descends to the lowermost heaven and says; "Who is calling Me, so that I may answer him? Who is asking Me so that may I grant him? Who is seeking forgiveness from Me so that I may forgive him?."' [Sahih al-Bukhari, Hadith Qudsi]

Finally, be smart when you represent islam to your family. Show them why islam is different than other religions. What is Islam really about. Remember that many westerns have wrong ideas and stereotypes about Islam, the might not know what islam really is.

look for Yusuf Estes or Yusha Evans online, you might find some ideas.

Muslims: Telling my family I converted?

First of all, let's get practical.

You're a kid and you need to live with your parents till you are capable of living on your own.

I would suggest that you read the Koran and read the Surat at Tawbah where it says that you must fight your own father and brother if they disbelieve. It also commands you fight your neighbor and go on to the next after finishing off the first.

Is this what you seriously become?

If it is, then go ahead.

If that is not what you want to become, then, think again.

Just in case you didn't know, Islam is a one way ticket. Apostates, or those who leave Islam are usually killed for doing that.

Has Allah ever answered your dua instantaneously?

Yes I will tell you some of the answered Duaa on the spot :One night my husband took me on a date and during our date he kept checking his mobile phone. On our way back home , I wanted a bit of holding hands and tried to get his attention but he was more interested in his mobile phone and game Clash of Clans, so I decided to walk speedily and leave him behind me a few meters, I was fuming and mumbled “inshallah it breaks that bloody phone of yours” . Instantly I heard him dropped something, I knew it was his phone I smiled .It was broken , I could not stop laughing hearing him swear. So I turned around and laughed and my hubby was sad , he knew instantly that it was because of my Duaa .On another occasion our bouler broke down for 3 days no hot water no heating. We brought an engineer who opened it up and tried to fix it but he said :” it is broken you need a new one”We brought a second engineer and he came to the same verdict “it is broken you need a new one”My husband was gutted and worried where would we get 4000 pounds to replace this broken one.On hearing him despairing I called secretly “oh Allah , you have all Power surely fixing this boiler is an easy thing for you” 30 mins later my husband came to me and said “ I just powered it again and it worked ! “ “ Yes darling and don’t worry it will last till the summer, it just came to my mind that when I am stuck at work with an IT problem , I usually go do my prayer and pray Allah to fix it or to help me fix it and it ALWAYS worked so I literally made duaa 30 mins ago for Allah to fix the boilerand He did Alhamdulilah ”That way Allah fixed a washing machine and a hoover too for me :-)On so many occasions at work I am not as geeky as my colleagues but I earned a reputation of having magic when it comes to fixing issues , lolThis goes without saying that I thank God for each answer He does . He says in the Quranand He also says :

Duas for family's well being?

Peace be upon you in this holy month my brother. ;

Duaa Jaushan al Kabeer is a very good dua for you and your whole family, hadith has it that Gabriel (as) brought it down to Muhammed (pbuh) during one of the battles. It is said to protect you and when said with your family, it protects you from death, sickness, and all sorts of misfortunes. (May ALLAH keep those away from all muslim brothers and sister)

This duaa calls upon 1000 names of ALLAH (swt) and at the end of each verse, you say, Subhanaka ya la ilaha ila ant, alghawth, algawth, Khalisna min al nar ya rab (Praise be to you, Oh he who has no partner, Help, Help, Protect us from the fire Oh ALLAH)

Why is Surah Fatiha a dua / prayer if its in quran?

Surah Fathiha is termed as mother of Quran. It is the cream of the contents of all chapters of Quran. It is the first chapter of Quran and gate way to the remaining chapters. Allah (SWT) revealed Surah Fathiha to teach the ummah how to start anything. We should recite the words "Bismillahi Rahmani Raheem (In the name of the most Compassionate and most Merciful" before starting any thing auspicious. We are going to start reading/reciting the remaining chapters of Quran in which there is Divine Guidance to mankind. The next verse in Surah Fathiha is "Alhamdu Lillahi Rabbil Alameen (All praises are to Allah, the Creator and Sustainer of the Universe)". It is natural that we must praise the glory of any body before asking for any favour from that person. This verse teaches us how to praise Allah for His innumerable Blessings before asking the greatest blessing i.e.to show the right path. The verse "Arrahmani Raheem (most Compassionate and most Merciful] is again repeated to remind us as to the greatness of Allah. Allah is not only most Compassionate and most Merciful, but also the Master of the Day of Judgment when our good and bad deeds will be weighed. The divine Guidance of Allah will be bestowed only on those who worship He alone and those who seek His Divine aid/help alone. The next verse "Iyyaka Na'budu wa Iyyaka nasta'een (To thee only we worship and to thee only we ask for help) qualifies us to ask for Guidance to the right path (hidayath). The next three verses (the following verses) clarifies as to who were those rightly guided, who were those to whom Allah's wrath occurred and those who went astray.

The way of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy Grace, those whose (portion) is not wrath, and who go not astray. Those on whom Allah's wrath occurred was the Jews and those who went astray were the Christians.

After reading the prayer in Surah Fathiha, we are ready to get the Divine Blessing of Allah (SWT). Therefore, Allah has revealed the first Chapter Surah Fathiha in supplication (Dua) form.

EDIT: The Surah Fathiha is recited in all prayers (salats). The imam who is leading the prayer is not only supplicating for him but for those who are behind him (ma'amooms). Therefore, the word US/WE is used instead of ME. Even if we are reciting the Surah alone, there is nothing wrong in using the plural word US/WE because the words refer to Muslim community as a whole.
