Is Trench coat warm enough for winter?
I just moved to shanghai, i have no winter clothes because im from tropic country, i was wondering if i buy a trench coat will be warm enough for winter at shanghai? or will it only be enough for the autumn? thanks :D

I live in Germany (in a mountainous area) but having just moved here in March I'm not quite sure what the winter is like, so I need help on finding a jacket. I know it seems kind of early in August to be asking but I'm told that it starts to snow in November and buying a winter jacket before winter can save money. Anyway, I'm really interested in buying a trench coat but I'm not sure how it warm it is. Help? Thanks in Advance :)

A trench is a style it is long and fitted around the bust with an almost skirt like bottom most of the time but there can also be a waist trench which is still fitted at the top but puffs at the bottom and stops at the waist trenches usually also come with some kind of belt anyway the cloth is what give them their use if you want a warm coat try a wool pea coat or a heavy lined leather or even a down but those tend to be bulky and make you look bigger than you are. If you want a rain coat then get a slick cloth but they usually aren't very warm if you want both the feather down coat is your best bet

YES. It depends on how thick they are. I have a fur one from Asos and a thick leather one from Mango that keep me warm.Of course a jacket like this won’t keep you warm:But if you choose a thicker one, you’re going for the right choice:So when you choose your coat think of how cold it is outside and what you will put underneath. A good place to buy winter jackets?
Where is a good place to buy winter jackets? I live in a place where it tends to get super cold during winter. I want a coat warm but not too bulky. Nothing over $250 please. I don't want a coat from abercrombie, hollister, aeropostale, etc. They aren't warm! And I am 16 years old. Suggest any stores? Links? THANK YOUS
