I think he's capable of escalating a tense but fairly routine situation into a major conflagration entirely by accident, just by shooting his stupid mouth off on twitter at the wrong time who knows if it will happen. entirely a random event. like putting a two year old in range of anything breakable with no supervision

look at the sheep answer.... but for real, when Cheney invades Iran, that's it. game over. iran will halt their oil production. they produce4% of the worlds oil. the world runs at a 2% surplus. oh snap $100 per barrell. then venezuela will follow suit. $150-200. if there isn't a revolution then, america deserves to be destroyed, 'cause we're too stupid to survive. then iran will detonate a dirty-bomb in a major city, and then bush/clinton (depending upon who is president by then. my money is on clinton. the underground won't really expect it) will declare a national emergency. he'll use his shiny new dictator powers to disolve the constitution, congress, and viola! www3, america it is gone, and look here comes jesus. oh wait he's not real? damn! i guess we're all slaves now.

while we are not in WW111 as of yet but to my way of thinking it seems that we are headed in that direction.
If WWIII was started, would there be a draft?
Whereupon a third world war bore the implications that the 1st and 2nd World Wars did, you can rest assured that a military draft would be commenced, as approved by Congress, which would conscript not only for the Army, but all 5 branches [and in this day and time, the largest drafts would possibly be for the Air Force and Navy, because the 3rd World War could be more heavily technology-based than in preceding wars]. For the first time in some 50+ years we would again see that precious if select few set of generals and admirals bearing again the 5 stars on their shoulders and service hats -- which ranks are the mark of a Congressional-declared war, the last of which highest ranks occurred with the advent of the 2nd World War. [Presently, 4 stars set at the top of the heap (General Omar Bradley was the last living 5-star general)]. Would the draft be legal? You bet it would. And no, there are no laws against this, for in fact the laws were instated in the first place to support the nation if indeed such a scale of war evidenced in need for the USA's security.
When do you believe WWIII will happen? Sometime in the 2030's or 2050's?
WWIII may or may not ever happen. But if it did within this century when do you see a likely start date? I don't believe WWIII will go nuclear and destroy all life on Earth. I just see small scale tactical nuclear weapons on the battlefield though.

Can you tell me what WWIII will look like?During WWII 10 million men between 18-24 years old were called to serve through the draft; there's about 15 million now. What would happen is simple. Because it is required for all 18 to 25 year old males to enlist in the draft, there would be about 15,000,000 names (Half of the population of 18-24 year olds). What would happen is a lottery of sorts starting with twenty year olds from the year the draft is issued. So if Obama issues a draft today, a lottery will start with the 20 year olds from this year. And will progress to 25 until the number of draftees is filled. Although it is possible, it is very unlikely that many 18-19 year olds will be drafted because of their age, but if that need arises, see ya in boot camp!Now you may say, "Obama just issued a draft! Holy shit, I'm going to Canada!" You're out of luck! In 2001, America and Canada singed an agreement that keeps Americans feeling the draft in America.College kiddos as well are still entitled to enlist, but wouldn't be drafted immediately! Freshmen to juniors in college would have until the end of their current semester while seniors could finish the year.So in short, all 18-25 year old males are able to be enlisted, we just don't know how WWIII will look like (or even if there is one).Also, there is talk of adding women to the draft because 3 (I think) just finished the treacherous Army Ranger course at Ft. Benning, GA. So are women fit for the draft? We'll see, but as commoners we don't really get a say in those sorts of things.There is one exception, though.
