Are You Allowed To Hand Out Flyers At The Airport

My parents want to come at airport to see me off. How long can they stay after I enter the airport? Can I come back to meet them after I have checked my baggage in?

In India you can’t come out after checking in. Perhaps in most countries. You can come out only if denied boarding for various reasons or due to cancellation of flight.I don’t think it’s a big security concern than administrative concerns. Though your check in baggage has been sent in, your cabin bag is still subject to security check along with personal frisking. But after getting a boarding pass, if you are allowed to go out, you may create unnecessary hassles for the airline and security. You must understand already there are long Queues and you will only be adding to the rush. You must check in one hour before your fight departure for domestic flight and 3 hours before international flight and if delayed you may be denied boarding. If you have done online check in, then you can go a bit late. So never take the risk. See off your parents before that time and once you are through all procedures you can call them and talk. In some smaller airports it’s even (eg Mangalore) possible to see them through glass panes. In nigeria though it’s possible. At least in domestic airports. You can check in, collect your boarding pass and still go out. Security doesn’t ask for your ticket before you enter the lobby as long as you are carrying travel bags with you. Of course your bags have to pass through security scanners. Not long before it was free for all. Any Tom, Dick and Harry could have entered the check in lobby.

Are you allowed to hand out flyers at the airport?

My friend asked if I can come and help hand out flyers at the airport to convince passengers to opt out of full body scanners. I have never done anything like this and frankly I'm a little worried if we will get arrested or anything. Is it illegal or will we be punished if we hand out flyers convincing people to opt out of full body scanners at the airport?

Airport/Flight advice for a total noob? (JFK)?

Hi so this summer I’m going to fly out of DC to JFK and get on another plane to go to Norway where I’m doing a summer program thing. We decided that doing this would save 4-600 dollars so I can fly with Norwegian Air because of their low fares. Anyway, I’m sixteen and have never been on a plane before, and know nothing about airports. The fact that I will have to go to JFK by myself terrifies me. Can you give me some advice for a total noob and maybe walk me through the process? Thanks.

First time flying alone. Can I get some advice?

I am 14 and this summer I am flying to Portland Oregon from Greenville south carolina. I am a little freaked out, but I want to know a few things. I already know I'm not going to be an unaccompanied minor. I just want to know some simple things that most frequent flyers know.

First time flyer please help?

There's not too much too worry about. When I was 15 I flew from Toronto to Dublin with air transat. And air transat does fly out of terminal 3. Now travelling through Pearson is actually really easy. There are loads of signs and its really straight forward.
When you first get to the airport go to the check in desk thats labeled air transat and obvisously check in your luggage and you will also obtain your boarding pass. Now all your info is on the boarding pass. The person at the check in will show you where to go next. Which is security.
Now at sercurity, have you boarding pass and passport on hand and have your carry on and all that your taking on the plane ready to be put through the x ray. Remember that there are restrictions for what you can and can not take in your carry on. All liquids must be under 10ml and in a clear plastic bag. Preferably in a ziplock type bag.
Once your through security, your off to find your gate, where you will be boarding the plane. On your boarding pass, it will say what your gate number is. Lets say its B10. So follow the signs that will say B1-B15 this way. Or whatever. And once your at your gate you just sit and wait to board your plane. When you board yir seat number is also on the boarding pass and a flight assistant will tell you where your seat is located once your on the flight. Durning the flight you'll have meals and snacks provided and movies will be played for entertainment. I sunsets you bring your own headphones unless you want to buy a pair on board. And air transat only take credit cards now.
Once you land, head off the plane and head to customs. There will be signs but just follow the rest if the people headed towards it. There, customs will just ask why your visiting, how long you'll be there etc. once your done there, head off to baggage claim. Collcect your baggage and then head out of arrivals. If your being picked up, make sure the person knows your flight info and if not and your taking a taxi to a hotel or something, then do that.
As for electronics, Like phones, iPods etc i keep in my carryon and then I keep everything else in my checked luggage. Or you could simply buy toothpaste at your destination.
Have fun on your trip and safe traveling!!
