Are You Glad Bomb Bomb Mccain Isn

Is John McCain racist or just carless in some of his comments?

I find his personality to be irritable, & i think when ever he gets annoyed he's bound to say something that he wish he didn't say. He's sort of like Howard Dean to me but grumpier. Wouldn't want him for a grandpa that's for sure. He'd always piss somebody off at Thanksgiving Dinner lol. Not sure a person that can't control himself should be president. He might get pissed off at Ahmadinejad & get an itchy trigger finger, "Bomb, Bomb, Bomb, Bomb Iran" lol. Not saying he's a bad guy, & being torchured like he was must of been very difficult but....

Did john mccain really get barack roll'd?

It's fake - hilarious, but made-up.
Shame too, would have made McCain's speech more than just the cure for insomnia.

What is your opinion on John McCain (both his political views and as a person)?

Very mixed. On the positive side, his actions as a POW in Vietnam were clearly and hugely heroic. Truly amazing. In politics, he worked for campaign finance reform with the McCain-Feingold act and he did manage to make friends across the aisle and usually be a civil person. He has also been a force in arguing against torture in many situations. Also, he crafted an elegant response to an extreme supporter who vilified Obama as an ‘Arab’, and resisted appealing to partisan hatred in his campaign. Furthermore, McCain has even proposed plans to combat climate change. On the negative side, politically we disagree on most things. I am a liberal and he is a conservative. However, there are also some aspects of his personal life that are not that great. There was the Keating Five business. I have also read (although I cannot find the source now) that he used his father’s influence to limit the effect of his poor class rank in the Naval Academy. But, even there, he stood up for victims of bullying. But, on the negative side, he has a problem with his temper. So, I have a mixed view of him.

If John McCain had nominated Joseph Lieberman as his VP, would anyone of the left have had anything nice to say about that?

It would have been a bold but wasteful move on McCain’s part. Lieberman on the ticket would have pulled maybe Conn, and RI out of the Northeast, that a big electoral draw. It would have allowed McCain to lay claim to centerist, conservative Democrats, but on the other hand it would have incensed the evangelicals and right of center republicans. Which I think would have been a losing exchange for McCain. What McCain and his campaign needed was a moderate, centerist from a state with a lot of electoral votes.Personally I feel that if McCain had chosen Lieberman it would have been a big FU to the Republican Establishment. I think it would have shaken the Democrats to the core and forced them to recapture their centerist moderate voters. Perhaps even causing a different outcome of the election, however even if McCain had won, he would have been at war with the Republican Party. In essence a president without the backing of either political party.

John McCain started the Forrestal Fire? ?

I'm not a supporter of John McCain the politician, but the Forrestal incident clearly --after repeated viewings of archival film footage-- was started by a missile that was "touched off" across the deck from a bunch of flight-ready-and-armed planes, including McCain's.

Keep in mind: planes that are loaded with bombs do NOT land back on a carrier with those bombs; if they fail to deliver them to their designated target or secondary target, they are given a specific area into which they can drop their "unexpended ordnance." (In fact, that is what happened to Glenn Miller's plane in WW2: hit by unexpended bombs as his plane through the 'dump' zone in the English Channel.) So this incident happened when planes were being readied to take off on missions, rather than planes having returned, loaded, with ordnance... that doesn't happen.

The problem with missiles is that they are ignited by electrical impulse; the switch in the cockpit to launch a missile is what's called a "guarded" switch: you have to flip up a spring-loaded cover and THEN hit the switch: if the pilot was "startled" by a supposed 'wet start' by McCain, what was his finger doing on the trigger of a launchable Zuni? More likely it occured during the loading process by an ordnance-handler: if missiles are accidentally electrically-grounded or otherwise activated, and the carrier deck is loaded with armed planes, it's a recipe for disaster. You can rest assured that the Navy changed their procedures in the wake of that tragedy. But McCain didn't cause it. I don't like him or trust him as a politician, but I respect his Vietnam service and time in captivity. That won't get me to vote for him, but I won't dishonor him by repeating an untruth. Neither should you.

BTW: #1: I'm always wary when sites feel it necessary to dredge up "Zionist-Communist" tie-ins for almost everything that happens in life: it's simplistic, if not inaccurate and overly conspiracy-centric. #2: I was an Avionics Tech in the Army and am now an A&P mechanic, somewhat familiar with the caution needed when dealing with hard-wired components and activated circuits. circuit breakers 'On' when they should be 'Off,' etc.. Which made me ask: why was the pilot's finger on the pickle-switch? Not likely, hence my guesstimate that wires touched during loading and the missile was activated. But perhaps we'll never know.

Hugs! We agree that McCain has certain mental disorder, but why Liberals claiming that he is unfit to be.....

I conclude from your statement that he is unfit to be president.

BTW...I am beginning to think that your kind of hot!;-p I like purple monsters with red eyes!looooooooooool

Is McLame peeing in his pants? IS he afraid that his fumbling and bumbling will ruin his last remaining votes?

Obama is an absolute contrast to mccain. He is young and speaks so passionately and perspicuously that everybody is amzed. But poor old mccain suffers from senile demntia and has trouble putting two sentences together if his speech isnt prepared.

So is mccain really afraid of debating Obama?Does MCLame curse the fact that his competetior is the young dynamic visionary Obama?

Will John McCain be buried in his Navy Uniform?

Sorry to rain on everybody’s parade but the military is big on regulations. I don’t claim to be an expert on Navy regulations but I can Google and I learned -Active Duty Military, Medal of Honor Recipients and Retired Military are eligible for the same funeral services (flag, firing of rifles, that stuff)About the only difference I spotted is while a military chaplain is specifically listed to conduct an active duty / Medal of Honor funeral the family may request a military chaplain or have their own.Nothing is listed in the funeral regulations about what someone wears. (Keeping my hope of being buried naked alive).BUTThere are regulations about the wear of the uniform. And it says basically - if he (or his family) wants to be buried in his uniform it’s OK.a. Retired personnel may wear uniforms at ceremonies or official functions when the dignity of the occasion and good taste dictate. Wearing a uniform is appropriate for memorial services, weddings, funerals, balls, patriotic or military parades, ceremonies in which any active or reserve United States military unit is participating, and meetings or functions of military associations.61001 - 61002 Reserve/Retired Personnel

What does America think about Senator John McCain?

Once, John McCain was indeed a moderately independent and principled voice within his party. I mostly didn't agree with his positions, but I had some legitimate respect for him. I still really respect his running against his party's position on torture during the Bush presidency. And I also respect his attempts to create real campaign finance reform. Unfortunately, the Supreme Court members appointed by his party have now effectively destroyed these reforms.McCain campaigned the presidential race in 2008 with a sense of decency and respect for his opponent.  I think his choice of Sarah Palin as a running mate and the evident lack of control that he had on her when  campaigning cast some really serious doubt on his judgment, though.Since his loss in 2008, McCain has become the GOP's point man for criticizing President Obama's foreign policy. In that capacity, he's revealed himself to be both incredibly reactionary and quite frankly a warmonger. I'm glad that he's not commander in chief.
