Arm Pain At Night Any Ideas

Why do I get shoulder and elbow pain at night?

My guess is you may have cervical spine issues. I have degenerative disc disease in both the lumbar and cervical spine, I can’t sleep more than a few hours a night. If that is what you have, the nerves in your neck are being pinched where they leave your spine which causes “referred” pain in your arms. If the pain subsides when you move around, and if it gets worse the more you stay in one position, that could be it.It can be a very strange experience getting pains in weird places and having no idea why. Mine started with pain down the back of my legs 15 years ago, and it has been getting worse and worse ever since.I would consult a doctor as soon as possible.

Pain in left shoulder, arm, neck, 4 days now????

Likely a trapezial muscle strain compressing on the nerve causing a spasm and radiating down your shoulder and arm from your neck.

Most likely caused by muscle tension and posture changes causing muscles not normally used to support you head and neck to do so. ( Compensating for the muscles that are supposed to do this.)

If less than 48 hours use ice 20 min on and off as much as possible. If greater than 48 hours, use a hot water bottle( it penetrates the muscle better than a heating pad). Use Aleve 1-2 tablets with food 2 times a day (OK to use 2 tablets if you weigh more than 120# and do not have stomach problems, previous ulcer or reflux/ frequent indigestion)

After drinking alcohole , next day my both arms pain?

The alcohol is dehydrating your body, your circulation is not functioning correctly because of the dehydration, therefore the pain in the arms. The best solution for this is to drink purified water mixed with mineral water 50/50. The mineral water is going to replace what has been wiped out by the alcohol. drink as much of this as you can throughout the day.

It's apparent that your body does not take well to alcohol. Try to consume less next time.

Any ideas why I am getting nausea, spaced out feeling and numbness in arm after physiotherapy?

I had physio on Thursday because I had pain in my top of shoulder muscles and shoulder joint. I also had some numbness in the muscles between my shoulder blades The physio said my muscles were very tight so he pressed down hard on the vertebrae in my neck which was very painful while he did it. While he was pressing on my vertebrae I told him that I was now seeing shimmering when I had my eyes shut like when you look at heat shimmering off a hot road in summer. I am still seeing the shimmering with my eyes shut, but don't see it with my eyes open. He said he had never heard of such a thing and carried on. A couple of hours after physio I started feeling very nauseaous and spaced out like floating feeling. On Friday my rifht arm felt heavy and my forearm and hand feel odd like a tight and slightly numb feeling on the top of my forearm. more noticeable when it twist my wrist. my little finger and the one next to it and the palm underneath below them and at the base of my thumb feesl thick and numbish and the top of my hand feels thick and numbish. I went to the local emergency room yesterday and the doctor said I have a virus because the glands are swollen in my neck, but I have no fever. He gave me Antinaus tablets for the nausea, told me to get lots of rest and not to eat any dairy products. But I am still worried about my symptoms.
