As A Wrestling Fan What Is One Thing You Would Like To Do

Why do wrestling fans think it's so uncool of someone to just watch WWE and no other wrestling promotion?

A lot of wrestling fans think that if you don't watch other wrestling promotions as well like TNA, ROH, Indy promotions, Japanese wrestling etc. than you are not a true wrestling fan but instead just a WWE "mark".

It's the uncool thing to do among wrestling fans to watch WWE only and that's why i think some people feel pressured to watch other promotions as well to fit in and be a "cool" wrestling fan.

The fact that you watch WWE only doesn't necessarily mean you're not a wrestling fan. It's the REASON to watch WWE is what says if you're a real wrestling fan or not. If you only watch WWE for the drama than yes you are not a wrestling fan but if you watch WWE because it's the all around best company (in your opinion) than I don't see why people say you aren't a true wrestling fan.

I admit that I only watch mainstream wrestling. I watch WWE every week and TNA once in a while. Does that make me uncool or not a true wrestling fan? I love the art of professional wrestling. I just think that WWE is the all around best company and I don't want to spend many hours of my life watching every wrestling i can get my hands on because I have other interests as well.

Do you find people that are not fans of wrestling think less of you ...?

I'm a mother of 3 sons aged 10, 14, & 15, who in the past year have become fans...so I watch wrestling matches with them, I go with them to watch the pay per views at a friends. But I'm kinda embarassed i watch, a guilty pleasure i guess. Do you have friends who are fans too.?

101 Things a WWE Fan Should Do Before He Dies?

WATCH TRIPLE H AND HBK ON A TAG TEAM 101 TIMES.

Is pro wrestling fake? Do they ever actually hurt each other (barring accidents)?

They are very real. The result and the spots of the match are scripted. The moves like punches and kicks are real.A professional wrestler performs signature moves such that they don't injure the other wrestler.Lets take an example of move known as Piledriver. It has been banned in WWE since 2000 and only two wrestlers in WWE are allowed to use the move(Undertaker and Kane). This photo clearly shows that the head doesnt touch the ground. If the move is not done correctly then it will result in a injury. In 1997 Owen hart botched a reverse piledriver on Stone Cold Steve Austin. This broke Austin's neck and that is the reason why he retired early. If we see blood in WWE now it has happened unintentionally since we are now in the PG era. Today's WWE product is marketed towards children not adults. Wrestlers like Ric Flair, Triple H are regular bladers. The preffered area for blading is the forehead since it bleeds profusely and heals easily.I would recommend you to watch the movie The Wrestler (2008).The Wrestler shows that while outcomes of matches may be fixed the physical tolls these men take on their body are often more extreme and long lasting than most other "respectable" sports.

Whats difference between a wrestling fan and wwe fan?

I'm not going to get into semantics. You're a wrestling fan. I am to, even though I do seek out other promotions to watch outside of the WWE. People who claim others are marks are the biggest marks of all (self-included, otherwise I'd be a hypocrite) because they buy into a product to the point that they believe it defines the sport of professional wrestling better than anything else. If anything, that's more closed minded than being a WWE fan and not being able to seek out other promotions. Purorseu and Lucha Libre aren't the only styles of wrestling and people tend to think that those are wrestling at their purest form because of the flippy spot monkey stuff, technical mat wrestling spots, and the occasional shoot kick or lariat. To me, that's even less than the WWE style because gaijin and puro wrestlers are too lazy to learn how to fake it properly.

I don't care if it's textbook Southern old school brawling, Chikara styled hybrid humor, or even CZW garbage wrestling, the fact remains that it all still falls under the umbrella of professional wrestling even if you don't like it, and that includes the WWE and TNA too.

So tell your closed minded friend to stuff it and broaden his mind to the idea that wrestling isn't just his ten year old indie American Strong Styled "purist" definition, and that it existed before Gabe Sapolsky gave Paul Heyman a cup of coffee and got net cred.

Name a gimmick that YOU have NEVER seen in Pro-Wrestling?

In the past 41 years, I think I've seen just about every gimmick possible. The only one I can think of that I haven't seen would be a James Bond type of character. A "secret agent" of some kind who knows some "secret" moves and holds.

For old ECW fans, Not new ones...?

Dear God do I miss the ECW. When they where by far the best wrestling promotion in the nation without leaving philly. Am I the only one who wishes that the WWE would leave ECW be, and stop trying to recreate magic wrestling fans no the WWE version of ECW will never capture. Secondly, what is the closest thing out there to right now, to the way ECW used to be.
