What would be a good audition monologue for a 12 year old girl?
I'm a 12 year old girl & I have a HUGE audition on February 20, and I have to have a monologue no longer than one minute. It has to be from a play or musical, no originals or movies. It must be age/gender appropriate, so I don't want to do anything over the age of 16 or 17 or younger than 10. I've been searchhing everywhere and Google isn't being very good to me...I have two that I like, one from You're A Good Man Charlie Brown and one from Alice's Adventures In Wonderland.

I am trying to find a monologue that embodies the main character: quirky, silly, funny, gets in trouble often but it never really sticks with her kind of girl. I suggest going to your local book store and they should sell music books and monologue books. You can find them on amazon as well. There's actually music books that have certain bars lined up specifically for an audition, and they'll have different editions for different vocal types. If you don't have the money, I would seriously consider making a deal with your parents to work off the money for the two books with chores, etc. whatever you have to. Because it will be extremely helpful to you.
