Aussie Wanting To Move To Usa

How easy it is for Australians to move to USA for work or permanent living?

It’s not as hard as you might think. You just have to look at the different types of visas which are available and see which kind would be easiest for you personally to get.You have an easier time than most since Australia is part of the visa waiver program and all you need to visit the US is your passport. That gives you the opportunity to come here for a while whenever it’s convenient for you, see where you might want to live, look for a job opportunity in person (a very important factor), and various other advantages like that. The fact that you speak good English will certainly help, and so will the general American attitude that people from Australia are not “really” foreigners.

Do British people love Australia or the USA more?

I know all British people want to move to either the USA or Australia. It's very difficult getting a visa to the USA so most of them move to Australia and love it there. That's all people talk about how much they want to move to Australia. With 10 million British born living in Australia they have tightened their borders so the Brits are very upset now. I know they're also obsessed with the USA, so which country do they love more?

Moving from America to Australia?

I am considering taking a short term (4 months) job in Sydney Australia and I was wondering if anyone had any comments or suggests on culture, money, language, behavior, etc. that would be helpful for an American moving there. Thanks a lot!

Why do so many British move to Australia?

Canada, USA, etc are fairly desirable places to live and if you pick the right places have decent weather, and they're a lot closer to home than Australia. I'm guessing the main reason is because Australia is the closest you can get to British culture, traditions, food, and language with good, consistant weather. Australia has good weather while not being so different to home, compared to the US and Australia.

Moving to Australia from United States?

I'm 20 years old and from my dad being in the Military, i'm pretty used to travelling.
I either want to move to Hawaii or to somewhere in Australia.
Hawaii doesn't seem to be hiring ANYWHERE at the moment.

I have a friend who I speak to over the internet who i've never met in person but lives in New South Whales Australia.
I also work at a call center in where I speak to quite the amount of rich people in where i've been told quite a few times by customers that if I want to move anywhere, Autralia is the place to go, especially at my age.

I've never been to Australia and it's always scary to just jump into a new area that you've never been to before.

Anyone have any tips on where I should probably locate or what jobs could give good pay to a 20 year old looking to be able to afford his own place in Australia while being able to buy food at the same time?
I'm trying to find a job before I head there and possibly get arrangements for some form of apartment, though my friends says they don't have apartments out there, they only have them in Sydney?

If I moved to Sydney Australia, would I be ruined and regretting my decision?
Is it hard to live out there?

I know the dollar conversion between US and Australia is about 9 cents apart. and minimum wage in Australia is a bit over $14.

I just want a small little area that I can get food, work a job, and love the great weather and different environment for the next few years or so.

Any information would be GREAT.

Thanks!
