Baby girl names: Sophia, Elle or Isla?
These are the 3 names that seem to stick with us. I am not sure which one it will be when she arrives in November. Our surname is Cheung and her sister is called Ava. Choose which one you like. And let me know why, if you have the time. thx
Is Athena a good name for a baby girl?
Yes, I’d say so. Sure it’s unusual, but lots of kids have unusual names – one time I was told that my name, Elizabeth, was unusual by a kid who said his name was ‘Makka’.What really matters is whether or not people are going to tease or be prejudiced against your kid for having that name and, if you’re worried about that, then Athena is probably a good name to choose. It doesn’t sound like anything rude or weird (unlike the popular until very recently, Fanny); it can’t be shortened to anything rude (unlike Richard, which can become Dick or William which can become Willy); it isn’t associated with anybody evil (unlike Adolf) and it isn’t thought of a name for ‘common’ people (we all know some names like this). In fact, since it’s from the name of the greek goddess of wisdom, of anything people will assume your daughter is intelligent and, since it’s a classical name, from a cultured family.

What do you think of the name Ruby Sophia?
Well first of all, congratulations! Four baby girls! I bet you were expecting a boy this round! :). That's adorable! I wish you the very best! Your older daughter's names are all adorable. I especially like Violet Isabelle! Isla is the name of my friend's baby! :) I think that Ruby Sophia has a similar sound to your three older girls, however, the others are more feminine, while Ruby is more severe in it's syllables and letter flow. I'm not saying that's bad! I like the name Ruby, I named by baby puppy that, and I know that that's not really a compliment, but I really mean it nicely! I think it has a sporty flow to it! I adore the name Sophia, so I may be biased, but I like Sophia Ruby a little better. Ruby Sophia does flow nicely however. I think Ruby Katrina or Ruby Elise would have a different sounding, but equally nice flow! Just for suggestions! Well, again, I am incredibly biased. I adore the name Niamh to pieces! Nieve is a nice way to spell it, especially because you live in Australia. I am Irish, and when I visited there Niamh was a fresh name that wasn't too common, but when I heard it it was used on young or middle aged woman, so it isn't close to becoming overused or old-fashioned, in case you are wondering. Nieve Sophia or Nieve Katrina would be a beautiful name, that would go excellent with the other three names you selected for your older children. Again, I'll mention I'm biased. :). I like Heidi as well. Again, it has a slightly more severe sound to it, but it still goes with your other daughter's names. I think I like Heidi a little better than Ruby as well. Oh, and as I'm rereading this, it may sound as if I dislike the name Ruby, and I do not. I am just trying to get my own view point across, you can take my ''advice'' with a grain of salt. I really do not want to spoil a name you love for you. All of the names you've mentioned are gorges! Again, congrats and best wishes! Baby girl names that go with the last name Harris?
I'm pregnant with a little girl and she's due in May, and me and my husband can't agree on any baby names, so we're looking on here for suggestions. Whats a good last name for Sophia?
I need a good last name for a character in our story, her name is Sophia and they call her Sophie and Soph. It also needs to fit with the names Jonathan, Christopher and Mary. Thanks :)
