So, if you think that skin colour matters then you’re a racist, otherwise not.Now for racist jokes. I agree that they might be inconsiderate. But do they make you racist in itself? Nope. Does laughing at racist jokes make you racist? Also nope. It would probably make you racist if by telling the joke you exhibit your racism and contempt towards people with different complexions.Jokes are there to make you less sad and maybe relieve some inner tensions or whatever. You know that moment when you befriend someone and become twice as offensive in order to establish some bonds? Well, racist jokes can serve the same purpose. Conan O'Brien lilkes to degrade the city of Detroit, and I have never noticed him making fun of any other specific cities in the US besides LA and NY. Someone once told me that comedians just go with "whatever is funny" I think it must be hard for him and his handful of writers to come up with all the monolgue materials for all the shows, so they have to allow anything they think is funny even if it hurts specific groups of people. Thus, I don't think he is a racist and a bigot, he's just trying to do his job and make people laugh, although I don't think it's right to pick on specific people and places like that.
