Post punk drum machine?

Buying a washing machine, what is the best kind of drum to buy?
Hi Heather, I'm Blake from The Home Depot. When looking at washing machine drums it is generally accepted that stainless steel is the most desired as it is rust proof, and resistant to damage. Following stainless steel would be porcelain-coated carbon steel. Porcelain drums offer rust resistance as long as the porcelain does not chip or crack exposing the carbon steel underneath. They are not as damage resistant as stainless steel. Nylon or plastic drums are the least desired as they are usually seen as less durable than their steel counterparts. Plastic or nylon drums will never rust however, so they do hold that advantage over porcelain coated drums. As always bigger is better! generally you will find that the stainless steel drums come in larger capacities on higher end machines, drum capacity is measured in CuFt. My preferred is the http://www.bossus.com/products/d...There is nothing you can't program on it plus there are some of the best effects on the market for bass and guitar. It is quite expensive but very well built.

A Digital audio workstation software program can do what you are thinking of, with a suitable drum plugin to generate the sounds.I like REAPER and Psycle personally, but there are many such programs.MT Power Drum Kit is a free drum instrument that should work fine for getting started.Note that this is for desktop computers. I note that the question is tagged for Android Applications. I looked into doing this sort of thing with my phone a year or so ago, and unless the situation has changed drastically in the meantime it's not very mature technology. If anyone is more up to date and knows of some good solutions I'd love to hear about them!

Goodness me, I didn't know top-loading machines were still made! Both of the brands you've named are very good, but I'd go for whichever one has the fastest spin options (my Indesit has a top spin speed of 1600 rpm, which is great for jeans and towels, etc).
What is the most versatile drum machine plugin available?
I like FXPansion Geist. I went a looooooong time trying to find a decent drum machine on the PC and was very unhappy wiht most. Then I found FXPansion Guru which was pretty good. Then that was superseded by Geist which really fleshed out the Guru idea. They really capture the essence of the drum machines I used to work with. It allows patterns and sequences of patterns to be built. Something that alot of the others were weak in. Geist is like an MPC for the PC.... almost.Another not as ideal solution is Native Instruments Battery but it has no sequencer so you'll have to rely on your DAW to provide the MIDI.

Depends whether you are talking about educational CD's or music CD's. If you are looking for advanced drumming, have a listen to Advanced Concepts by Kim Plainfield, huge variety to listen to. Berklee College of Music. Or there are heaps of very good drumming books with CD's at our site.
