Best Vitamins Or Foods To Take For Cardio.

I have started working out what vitamins should I take?

Yes, always start with a good multi-vitamin. Chances are you might want to top that off with a calcium/magnesium/vitamin D suppliement as well as a small amount of potassium to avoid muscle scramps.

Now, to answer in better detail I would need to know if you have any health issues or concerns? Symptoms?

Are you trying to lose weight or just get in shape?

The more info you can give me the better I might be able to help you.

Gout: What vitamins to take, what foods to eat, and what foods to stay away from.?

I was diagnosed with gout (left toe) when I was 26 and actually thought I broke my toe until my doctor gave me the news. prior to being diagnosed with gout i had been taking a diet pill with only water and eating very little food as i was trying to lose weight. Of course that is the worse way to lose weight.

Ways to decrease the chances of getting a repeat gout flare-up:

(1) Losing weight. Best way to lose weight is through a weight training program. I have been able to control my gout through a combination of weight training and cardio but not a whole lot of cardio (because you will get a repeat occurence of gout). 30 minutes max. The main thing here is to increase the amount of testosterone in your system, not decrease it. Don't lose more than 1.5 pounds a week. Do it slow and you won't get gout

(2) Decrease Stress. Stress is a huge factor in getting gout.

(3) Sleep. Get enough "Quality" sleep, like REM sleep. The sleep that makes you feel energized when you wake up. Quality sleep will increase your T levels.

(4)Vitamins. I've taken gnc's mega men and also mega green. If these 2 are a bit too much price wise i would just go for a multivitamin for men such as one a day or centrum. You'll acheive the most from your vitamins if you take them while exercising as in number 1 above. Some vitamins that may help are flax seed, vitamin b complex, bromelain, folic acid, and potassium. I would stay away from too much vitamin C as there are conflicting thoughts on it regarding gout.

(5) Foods to avoid: you can find this info on a number of websites out there. You should stay on a low purine diet. Avoid red meat, organ meats, alcohol, fried foods, caffeine, and sweets.

(6) Avoid crash dieting

(7) Best foods that should help heal: celery, cherries or cherry juice, bananas, and pineapples.

(8) Foods you can eat: milk and dairy products, fruits and vegetables etc. You can find this info on a lot of websites.

Which Vitamins Should a 25 year old male take?

I am a 25 year old male. I lift weights 3-4 times/week and do cardio 3-4 times/week. Currently I take Vitamins A & C, Zinc, Calcium and Fish Oil. Am I taking too many, not enough or should I change up the types I take? Thank you.

Does Vitamin B12 help you lose weight or gain weight?

It does neither. Make sure you eat a varried diet full of veggies, fruits, gains, beans, and nuts and you won' t need anything more that a good daily multivitamin, calcium and vitamin D.

How can I energize for a good weight lifting workout with cardio?

Taking a dose of caffeine or caffeine based supplements such as Guarana helps.  However, long term need to consider why you are getting tired. For most people this has become a fact of life, but...-did you know your posture during the day, e.g. sitting at a desk or when driving can make you tired as this effects your breathing? Actually too much sitting is not a good thing.Try taking standing "breaks" if you spend your day sitting and see someone who can help you improve/ optimise your posture -drinking too little water during the day also contributes to tiredness later in the day as does a diet poor in nutrients. Drink more water and up the foods containing B Vitamins, magnesium, iron etc-Pratice deep breathing during the day. You're actually making use of the diaphragm, the main muscle involved in breathing, expanding the lungs and making use of gaseous exchange!-take a brisk walk during the day if you can, and take in some sun for (free) vitamin DThere is much more to consider based on your lifestyle e.g. when and how much you sleep, your diet and stress levels
