Best Ways To Get Rid Of Belly Fat

How do I get rid of my belly fat?

Summary version at very bottom. Wall of text:

About October of 2007, I started to exercise doing a 10,000 walking program. At the time, I weighed in 208 pounds, which is a HUGE amount considering my age at the time; despite my height at 5'9, I was only 13 going on 14. For three days a week I used this program, and then I worked up to five days a week, and eventually seven. After three months I was down already to 173.

After another four months I moved onto running, first for thirty minutes a day, then forty minutes a day, then forty minutes with incline, then recently back down to forty minutes with reduced incline. By the time the one year anniversary passed, I was down to 155.

SUMMARY, AND CONTINUATION OF ABOVE: Fast forward to today, and I'm still at 155. I've still got a belly fat problem. I still run at 40 minutes per day, but I think it's the diet that's killing me; I might need to further change my diet. Any tips?

Eat a very healthy diet. Go for a brisk 45 minute walk twice a day if you can, everyday. Climb lots of stairs. Drink plenty of water. If at all possible start a weight lifting/strength training program at a gym and get some instruction from the gym trainer. But you can also start a program at home using household objects for weights and also by doing exercises that use your own body weight - push ups, squats, lunges, dips, planks, etc. Use google to your advantage and learn about these exercises. It will work.

Can't get rid of belly fat?

Abdominal fat is the most common problem related to weight gain and also the most difficult to get rid of. A 'muffin belly' may not only look ugly but is also associated with problems like type 2 diabetes and heart ailments. Abdominal weight gain is largely due to a high-calorie diet, lack of exercise, and high stress levels.

One has to attack the fat through a three-dimensional plan which includes nutrition, cardio and abdominal exercise.
Have smaller meals: Never skip a meal (especially not breakfast); eat smaller portions five to six times a day. Your diet should have low carbs, low fat and no starch and sugar. Avoid canned juices, aerated drinks and alcohol. Drink at least two to three litres of water daily.
Shed calories with cardio: Hydrate well before, during and after the cardio workout. Warm up before the exercise and cool down after. You must do cardio and core exercises like pilates or general ab exercises.

You need to at least 30 minutes of cardio four/three times a week following core work.

Ther a variety of programs that can help with this. If you aren't working out now. Start by walking. It's efficent, easy on the knees and you can do it anywhere. Don't stroll walk with purpose in good shoes.

There are lots of pilates and core DVDs on Amazon and Collage Video. Collage video will let you preview DVDs. Look for one tailored for a beginner. Don't buy a DVD that's advanced because you think it will work faster. It won't because you won't do it. You want something that is doable for you.

The cardio burns away the fat that may be covering the abs.

There must a reason why you are not feeling satisfied. Eat lots of whole grains, lots of fruit and veggies. Simple carbs like chips or candy don't fill you up.

Cardio exercises like jogging, swimming, aerobics or dancing for upto an hour a day will help you burn excess calories. Doing crunches while lying on a mat or using a stability ball for 15-20 minutes a day helps tone the abdominal muscles. While the focus is on your abs, do not neglect your lower back. Some back-strengthening exercises are required as well to balance the muscular strength in and around the trunk area. Do these exercises under supervision as they need to be correctly executed.

Best wishes

Best way to lose belly fat for men?

I am 5'10 I weigh 180lb, I can bench 225lb, and have good lifting habits, I have been eating healthier and I have a good amount of muscle, but have a gut.
I have been running around the neighborhood, and have been doing 3-3.5 miles, in 35 minutes

Its not that great, but I want to know the best tips.
I know obviously I have to do ab work, but what are the best methods.
For example if i can do 40 crunchees relatively easy, should I do as many crunchees as I can without stopping or break up and do 2-3 sets.

Any tip that helps on ab work is appreciated.

Also if I want to lose body fat running, is it better to do a fast jog for longer times, or running/sprinting for 2 minutes (with 30 senconds fast walk break) and then sprinting, and eventually increasing my sprinting time.

As much detail as you can give me will help.

I want to build muscle not just tone, but grow them, and have been doing a good job in terms of legs, chest, back and arms, but still have body fat.
I don't want to waste energy running that isn't efficient and isn't going to help losing body fat.
What are the best tips for running and ab work for losing body fat?
thanks.
