Between Safari Opera Explorer Chrome And Firefox Would It Be Fair To Say That Explorer Is The

Why is Internet Explorer slower than Google Chrome and Firefox?

Thanks for the A2A Jayashree! There are lot of answers to this query prior to mine and none of them had mentioned about the ‘Microsoft Edge’ browser. It might be due to the fact that either they might not be using Windows 10 OS or they aren’t aware about Edge.It is the next updated version from Microsoft after IE11; which was released as early as July 2015 itself. Remember that you need to have Windows 10 (Either Desktop or Mobile version) to use Edge. The latest updated version as of today of Microsoft Edge is Edge version 40.15063 which was released on April 11, 2017. Edge runs in EdgeHTML and Chakra engines. To answer your question, it is just a myth that IE is slower than Chrome and Firefox. In the previous versions, yes, there were lot of issues due to page and content loading. Some of the default settings of Microsoft were not seamless. And you need to keep it in mind that MS clearly states that their browsers won’t work well in pirated software copies; even if you successfully apply a product code to it.Prior to IE11, MS browsers were having issues. But, after IE11 and in MS Edge, there are no such issues. They are equal in performance to other leading browsers. Some of the default settings need to be compressed for a better performance in version prior to IE11. You can find lot of tips online for improving the performance of prior MS browser versions including IE11.If you use it, then only you will come to know about its pros and cons. Microsoft took PCs and browsing to each and every home in the World. So, there is a room for forgiving. Having said that, Edge is a very competitive browser in my opinion. Thanks again for the notification!Warm Regards,Ram Kumar.

Why did I become a Chrome addict from a Firefox faithful?

A bunch of reasons I can think of, some more technical:Faster page rendering. I remember before FF4 that FF3.x could not keep up with Gmail's massive JS codebase.Process-per-tab. You can safely open dozens of tabs without worrying that one tab crashing would kill every other one.Webkit. It had a lot of the newer/experimental web features before Mozilla got around to implementing them, and it's the same rendering engine used in both Mobile Safari and the Android Browser. In terms targeting browsers Chrome is first in line.Chrome inspector. For web development, Firebug has lagged (and indeed, lags pages), CI has continued to progress. This again encourages web devs to target Chrome first.Lots of useful in-the-box features. Like non-restarting extension installs, addon syncing, and of course the omnibar. The first is especially great for debugging slow or broken extensions.Slow versioning with lagging plugins. Mozilla felt slow when they only released an update once a year. When they sped up their schedule, the plugin versioning system broke down. Now it's up to Mozilla to fix these perceptions.

What do Apple employees on the Safari team think of Chrome?

As someone who recently left Apple, I will say that we have no problem with other browsers and use whichever browser best fits our browsing needs. I'm personally a Google Chrome user currently. I may switch to Safari with iCloud tab syncing in iOS 6.I, along with many other employees, had it installed on work computers. Many of us also use Spotify and Netflix. The most important thing is that nearly every Apple employee is loyal to the company in regards to hardware. It is rare to find employees that use PCs, other phones besides the iPhone, or tablets besides the iPad.

Which browser would you reccomend I try next?

Using Vista home premium, and IE 7 freezes up for short periods, and does other things, so I went to google chrome. Loved it. No freeze ups, it worked great. But it refuses to delete my history, or to let me control how long it's saved. So that's out. Which browser should I try next? And one that lets me control the records of my browsing history.

Are there any decent irc plugins for safari?

ICR?... i know that the Shockwave plug in doesn't work well with safari i spent a whole month trying to make it work before i went to the IT department and asked for help and they said 'have you tried Firefox' and i was like 'NOOOO' life isn't fair some times... i'm not really sure what i'm trying to say... but yeah... you can tell i'm tiered when i start saying 'but yeah'...

Strange. I'm hearing music on my computer but don't have anything but this open?

Has anyone messed with your computer recently? Is the music playing when doing certain things like opening or closing windows? Someone may have fooled with your sound scheme so that music plays instead of the default Window sounds.

Look in your control Panel > sound and Audio Devices > Sounds Tab

below you'll see Program events:

go through each of these and look at the sound file being used. If you see a song you've been hearing as one of the files, you've been pranked. Hopefully you get it solved.

You likely wouldn't see a process in task manager for this since it would probably show up as explorer.exe in your processes tab... which is basically your icons, windows, task bar....everything..
