What is the best and cheapest place to buy clothes in Istanbul?

If you are looking for an alternative styles you should go for Kadıköy or Beşiktaş. Taksim is alright too but there is not much alternative there. By the way, in these areas your address should be a places called “Pasaj” where there is variety of stores in it. It is like old style shopping mall. Other than that, if you are looking for a cheap branded stuff you should go for outlet avm (malls). The first ones that comes into my mind are; Optimum, Olivium, Starcity, Viaport.

Does Istanbul have cheap shopping places?

Depends on what you’re after…For photography equipment, Hayyam Pasajı is almost cheap as eBay if you buy second hand.Computer hardware is generally cheaper than Europe, but not USA, of course!Jewelry is dirt cheap, as for example, diamonds are not even taxed!Textile is not cheap, contrary to the popular belief, if you’re not after horrible knock-offs sold in streets.Food is cheap, but meat is extremely expensive. I wouldn’t advise eating a steak in Turkey; its not delicious, its cooked awfully, and very very expensive judging its quality. But, in pastries it rocks. Seafood is also bad and expensive. A rule of thumb: bad food is expensive in Turkey:)Flea markets are generally traps. Even the locals are ripped off, if you dont know what you’re doing, dont know the prices, just stay away.
