Questions about becoming a nurse in the military?

I'm a junior in high school and I am seriously considering becoming a nurse in the military. Do I have to go to nursing school before I enlist or does the military train me to become a nurse? How long will school take to be a nurse? I either want to go to the Air Force or the Marines, which would you recommend? I really would rather get deployed than stay in the united states, so which branch would you recommend? What is the work environment like? What would be my living situation on base(Would I live with the other nurses, in a house etc..?) What is the pay?(Pay isn't important i'm just wondering). I'll graduate with a 3.0 or higher so my grades aren't that great but if i do good in college will the military look more at my college grades than my high school grades? What's the base environment like in general? Sorry for all the question and feel free to add any other info that would help. Thanks! Also about the college part, I plan to go to a community college the first year, to help get my grades up to go to a university.

What questions are usually asked in a job interview for nurses?

Many companies are going to behavioral based interview questions. These questions bypass the hypothetical and directly to an example when. For example: tell me a time when you have had to be a nurse delegate and how did that turn out? The theory behind this is by understanding how someone has addressed a situation you can assess their experience level and how they will address a similar situation in the future. I have asked and been asked these type of questions and find it invaluable to spend some time thinking of situations that arise in the field and how I have handled them. It is important to answer honestly. Take your time and think. Some of these are tough and I know it's not right candidate when I hear things like “i don't know I have never had a disagreement with a supervisor” this tells me they are lazy in there answers and not truthful.I have compiled a list of resources on all things nurse interview if you want more resources and answers. What kind of questions do employers ask during nursing interviews?

As a hiring manager I look for behavioral based responses that will show how to you have handles situations in your life. Skill based questions are common and are generally used to ensure you have the basic competencies needed for the job, however behavioral questions will help the manager determine if you are the right fit for the unit and organization. Examples I like to use include "tell me about a situation where you were involved with a co-worker that was not a team player. How did handle this and what was the outcome" . Here I am looking for the candidate to tell me how they may have provided feedback to their co-worker to help them become a team player. I am looking for peer to peer feedback rather the ever popular answer "I would let the charge nurse know or the manager." Having proactive and empowered staff are far more valuable than the highly skilled nurse who has no abilities at behavioral competencies. I hope this helps!

Can the school nurse give me a pregnancy test?

im pretty sure the school nurse can give you a pregnancy test. but if you are under a certain age limit ( and i dont know what that is) then they will tell your parents. and considering your age. it might be a good idea to make your parents aware of your situation that you might or might not be pregnant. you need to inform your parents of what is going on. cause even though they might get mad in the beginning, they will be there to support you in making the right decision. and since you are 15, prob isnt the best time to be having a baby. not to scare you, but i am going to tell you some information to make you aware of what happens to a teenager that gets pregnant, and keeps their baby. Im not trying to make you upset, scared or mad... i just want you to know what could happen... not to say it will happen to you: The stress of pregnancy is physical as well as emotional. Pregnant teenagers have higher rates of maternal mortality, toxemia, and anemia. They also have more complications at birth. If a teenager keeps her baby, as the majority of teens do, she may find herself with few support services. Lack of childcare often forces teenagers with children to drop out of school, making it harder for them to get decent jobs to support themselves and their families. The health of their babies also suffers. Infants born to teenagers have a higher rate of infant mortality, are more likely to be premature, and have a higher rate of birth injury, low birth weight, and neurological defects.
you have to take into consideration if you can support this baby... including doctor visits (prenatal), sonograms, blood work, tests, delivery, hospital bills, and everything the baby is going to need once it comes home.

why cant you go to the store and get a test? have you tried going to a planned parenthood in your area for a home pregnancy test?
