Is there anyone who studied in SEGI University Malaysia?
uhm.. why are you studying dentistry at SEGI? That is like the worst option ever. I suggest that you go to other more reputable universities like IMU, but if wanna go for a lower cost option, then MAHSA university or AIMST. Nobody studies dentistry at SEGI. After you graduate, you will need a recommendation letter from a reputable dental lecture or professor. I dont think the ones in SEGI are reputable enough. It costs nearly RM600k (around USD200,000) for dentistry degree in IMU, not so sure about foundation, maybe around USD6,000++. For MAHSA dentistry degree, it is around USD100k+. FOundation costs around USD4,000 So with the price range of mahsa and IMU, i think SEGi should be somewhere in between. And the reason they dont post up the fees on the website is because the fees are constantly changing. I honestly think that you should reconsider your choices. What country are you from? i dont mind giving you advices, you can always email me at jo11yshandy@gmail.com cuz im from Malaysia and I have friends who are currently pursuing dentistry.
Is medical science and medicine (bachelor/master dual degree) of Monash University equivalent to MBBS in India?
Diseases and deformities vary between country to country influenced by the climate, geographical locality, tomography, food habits culture, etc . In Indian MBBS you will be taught about how to cure diseases occurring in Indians. Studying in foreign universities you will not be able to treat tropical diseases occurring here. Even if you study in other Tropical countries, you will lag our syllabus by atleast 25%, even though they claim not to be. This means that you should work really hard to crack MCI Examinations and get licenced as a Doctor in India. Therefore, my answer is, NoThanks for the a2aSigning off,Vibin Jabakar
Is it worth doing an MBBS in Malaysia as an Indian?
MBBS in Malaysia is not popular with Indian students though medical education is Malaysia is of very high standards. The reason behind not being popular is the extremely high tuition fee in comparison to tuition fee offered by Medical Council of India recognized Government Universities in Ukraine, Russia, China, Kyrgyzstan etc. These countries is also teach in English medium and some of the Universities are as old as 200 years with tremendous contribution to development of health sciences and have many patents registered. For more details you can visit the following website:MBBS Abroad | MBBS Admission in USA | Study Foreign MBBS
Is malaysia reputed for medical studies?
Malaysia’s two universities are well-reputed for medical and dental studies and a large number of foreign students complete their studies from there. I have been to both of them and found them doing quite well (though there is room for improvement). Cost of education is lower than UK or US and hence it is a viable place for higher studies in medicine, dentistry and engineering. The first is UM (University Malaya) which is the oldest and top institution in Malaysia (since the time the region was Malaya), it is rated at top 146 in the world (QS rankings) and the other one is USM (University Science Malaysia) which is relatively newer than UM but quite established and reputed in a number of areas, it is ranked at 289.There are three more good universities in Malaysia, UTM, UPM and UKM, but I do not have first-hand experience of these, nor I know if their medical schools are better than UM or USM. They are rated in around top 300 by QS.Hope it helps.
