Can Anyone Answer Me On The Rules And Guidelines Police Must Follow When Performing A Controlled

What should I do when Indian police tries to arrest me under a false pretext?

Well, first thing would be that Do not resist arrest. Don't become violent, don't hurl abuses at them, or threaten in any manner ... all these are valid reasons to arrest somebody. Hence, even if they didn't have a reason earlier, now they do.And please don't give even an hint that you are a flight risk, because then they not only have a reasonable suspicion to arrest you, they then have a right to hurl you on floor, and tie you up (including handcuffs), and parade you around your neighbours like you are a prized trophy they have earned. Hence, appear dignified, and respectable, like somebody whom they have to reason to arrest, not fight and overpower to arrest.1. Demand a Warrant, or a probable cause: You can only be arrested for two reasons: Either they have caught you 'red-handed' doing a crime (like stealing from someone), or if they have a warrant. If it is first, try showing that what you are doing was not a crime, or that maybe someone else did it. If it is second, either he would have a warrant, or he wouldn't. If he doesn't have the warrant, try arguing that you cannot be arrested without one.2. Ask them to read your rights: Even though it is a general understanding that most cops are too uneducated and stupid to even read a letter of Indian Constitution, they are well trained and well-versed in all of IPC and CrPC. Hence, if you ask your rights in a calm and dignified manner, he'll realise that you are not an ignorant idiot whom he can treat like a personal toerag, and at this point, you may also point out flaws in his arresting procedure. All this can intimidate even a seasoned policeman, because people in India are usually unaware of their rights under the CrPC and the Constitution, and nobody knows them, much less ask for them. That can drive away any illegal attempt to arrest you.3. Criminal Prosecution later (or threat of the same): But as much as we know the Law, and the Constitution, Police brutality, illegal detention and torture are such common things here that newspapers have stopped writing news reports about them, and people have accepted them as one of those 'Chalta hai' things which go unnoticed and uncompensated. So, your best weapon is Yourself, don't let the rascals walk away. If you have suffered police brutality, illegal detentions, and your human and fundamental rights have been taken away from you by the states, file a criminal case against the erring official, and sue the state for compensations.

Why should people follow traffic rules?

Most traffic rules are for everyone’s safety, but they’re also an attempt at maintaining a sense of fair play. For instance, if heavy main road traffic were given just a minute of green light flow, while less busy side road traffic were to get two minutes, there’d be a lot of angry drivers. Not only that, but this wouldn’t make sense from an economic or environmental standpoint. Likewise, laws against engine idling attempt to rein in excessive pollution, noise, and waste. So in order to be good, socially conscious citizens, we should all consider not just our own welfare, but that of others. We should all strive to be “good drivers.”Good drivers obey traffic lights and don’t drive at excessive speeds or switch lanes with no warning and cut other drivers off. They never fail to signal their own intentions, and never put others in danger by failing to yield when required. They don’t cross solid lines (unless it’s necessary and they signal and yield first); they stay towards the kerb, don’t accelerate when being passed, and give cyclists a wide berth.Unfortunately, by these definitions, there are very few good drivers.

What are the rules, regulations, laws concerning what a bouncer in a bar may do...?

A bouncer is nothing more than a security guard for the business he is employed by. They have no powers off arrest but can protect the business and the patrons.

That said.......... if a death occurs an investigation will / should be conducted. They will evaluate if any and all force used in the altercation meets one criteria... Was it for the defense of the bouncer or an innocent patron. If the force used was excessive it should be ruled as at least Manslaughter if not Murder.

Believe me, as a cop I have investigated many cases where the bouncers lost control and used excessive force. They are subject to the same laws of engagement as any other private citizen. They are NOT immune from charges. I have put plenty of them in jail.

Also, the family would have a great civil lawsuit against the bar.

I hope they have a good lawyer.

Is it possible to call the police and lodge a complaint if your neighbour plays loud music in a PG in India?

A2A :Yes Dial 100 or any relevant police assistance helpline number and they will act on your complaint. As opined by other Quorans, there are various laws related to noise pollution and nuisance to deal with such situations. In my opinion, you should first try to talk to the people causing noise pollution, request them to turn-down the volume. If you have done that already, then you can proceed with police complaint. It would be better if you can call the police at the moment when the noise pollution is taking place, so that they can take stringent action on the spot. In case of repeated breach of noise pollution rules/law, the police is also empowered to seize the equipment/instrument causing noise pollution.Former US President Abraham Lincoln once said,"Discourage litigation. Persuade your neighbors to compromise whenever you can."PS: Section 268 of I.P.C. deals with such situations. Any act of breach of sound/noise pollution laws/rules is punishable by fine under Section 290 of IPC and repeated breach (i.e.) continuing breach can lead to imprisonment upto 6 months, or fine, or with both as per Section 291 of IPC. Section 133 of the Cr.P.C. empowers Police to seize the equipment causing noise pollution.

Can traffic police officers legally break traffic rules?

In the UK there are 3 exemptions to the Road Traffic Act 1988  that police officers can apply whilst driving in response to an emergency (so with blue lights illuminated and sirens sounding). These are:-Driving in excess of the posted speed limitRed traffic signals (become treated as a give way)Keep left signsThese do not provide an automatic defence in the event of a collision. The driver must be able to justify their decisions to use these exemptions. Any further transgression is purely at the discretion of the driver and in the event of a collision they will have little chance of justifying their actions. If the standard if driving falls below or far beliw the standard expected of a careful and competent driver they could be prosecuted for careless driving or dangerous driving  respectively - this has happened a number of times!Other violations such as parking in a disabled bay is poor form, the public have a habit of photographing this type of thing and publishing it on social media or sending it to the local press. Unless it's a genuine emergency and you need to park close (for example a detained shoo fury who had become violent with security staff) then for me this is a big no! Similarly with poor parking in general or violating parking restrictions - if it's a genuine emergency fine - if it's a routine call, park somewhere else. Pursuits on the UK are strictly managed. All police drivers have basic pursuit training but this is more about safety and communications. It involves passing information to  a number of specific risk factors and the driver must make a risk assessment. This information is relayed to the FIM or force incident manager, usually an inspectors in silver command in the control room. They will give permission to continue or end the pursuit as well as coordinating other tactical options such as the helicopter, or advance driver units with TPAC capabilities. Driving in a pursuit dies not give you the right to be reckless and endanger the lives if yourself, members if the public or the persons being pursued. This behaviour is easy to spot as the driver must provide a running commentaryregarfing location as well as updating the mandatory information mentioned earlier. If the FIM gets any pointers that the pursuit is becoming dangerous or that the driving )of either the police driver or the person pursued) is becoming reckless or dangerous, they will end that pursuit.

Will hyper or hypothyroidism disqualify you from any police work?

In the military, hyperthyroidism is a DQ. But hypo is okay if it's controlled (and of course you get a waiver). That was my first plan for my future, but my chances are so slim, I want a plan B.
So can you be DQ'd as a State Trooper, FBI, local cop..etc?

How do I gain control over my out of control daughter? I don t know what do anymore...?

My daughter has no respect for anyone and thinks she can do anything she wants. She is constantly giving attitude and thinks she can go out whenever she wants. She s also given herself piercings. I don t live with her anymore. She is currently living with her father and my sister because me and my husband are separated but they can t get control over her either. She comes home late doing god know what and she is constantly arguing with her father, me, and my sister. She also says one thing but when we are going to act on it she changes her mind. For example she says she wants to hang out with me but when we are going to she refuses to hang out with me when she clearly said she wanted to We are trying to send her to a therapist but she refuses to go. I know Yahoo answers might not give me the best answers but what should I do to gain some control over her?? Im desperate.

Can somebody please help??? I need to make sure my answers are correct before i submit them!?

2 - 1984 is about a dystopia, so it's dystopian fiction.

It's been a looooong time since I read 1984, so the rest is a blur.

Speed limit? Need some opinions from cops?

There are several things I consider when I make traffic stops for speeding.

First, weather. Is it safe to be driving the actual speed limit? I have cited people for going the speed limit, but in real bad weather (heavy snow, rainstorms).

Second, the flow of traffic. If the flow of traffic is approximately 10 miles per hour over the speed limit, I generally won't pull over someone going 11 over.

Third, the driving of the speeder. If they are going with the flow and not "darting" in and out of traffic, they are fine.

That being said; here are some reasons I pull people over for speeding. They are going 15 over. I do not care about the "flow" of traffic excuse. Like I said, most go about 10 or less over. They are going over in a school zone or neighborhood. The driving in a neighborhood is very different from the highway. I will not let children be put in potentially dangerous situations.

Generally speaking, most officers I know do not pull people over for speeding when they are going 12 or less over the limit. I try to make sure I take into account all of the above that I mentioned.

I too am amazed at the audacity of some drivers who even tailgate me while I am on patrol. I make it a point to slow down and try to get behind them to wait for them to tailgate someone else then pull them over.

My suggestion is to ask your local police department or Highway Patrol Troop and see if their traffic unit has something similar to what we call, Traffic Complaint Areas (TCAs). With TCAs,citizens call in and complain about a certain area that is having many violations being commited. We catalog them into a file and deal out an updated TCA list once a week. With this list, mainly traffic; but patrol does as well when not responding to regular calls, takes the list and "stakes" the area out. The intention is to bring that problem area under control. I have seen this be an effective tool for traffic areas. Again, I would suggest you try to call the Highway Patrol, for the highways you travel and the local PD for the other streets and major thoroughfares.

I hope this helps and continue to drive safe.
